Clark down 7-1 ...Whalen gonna be tough this year ...same old story ..no takedowns from clark..loses 8-2
At least the positive is Whalen is a stud, ranked 8th on flo. Didn’t know he was ranked that high.

Watched a few matches. Cetta MDF’ed out of next match, he might have gotten hurt. DeSantis rough performance a bit of a surprise. Not a lot of starters there. Only real concern is that guys don’t look Iike they are in great shape but it’s the beginning of the year.

What an over reaction by some people. The idea that a freshman will never contribute to the team because of his showing in his first college tourney is ridiculous. I remember plenty of RU freshmen who needed some seasoning and experience before showing out over their careers. John VanBrill comes to mind but there were several others. Have faith and trust the process. And give some slack to the freshmen who cut weight from their senior years of high school.

I think it's okay to have high expectations. We have little to go on aside from matches like these. I agree that Blanchette has had to cut from his high school weight, and he's in a new environment now. I'm still hoping he has potential. On the flip side, I'd like to see the guys coming into the season in better condition, and maybe he wasn't.

Agree, I think AA lost to a Lehigh kid in his first tourn(East Stroudsburg?) and then his next tourn he lost to lehigh backup. He also won a bunch at each tourn, but I still remember people being surprised he lost.....D 1 is a different animal.

That stinks.. hope he is ok unless it was just a MFF to not wrestle it… seems like we didn’t learn much at the Princeton open except maybe our guys need more conditioning and no huge impact wrestler just yet..
