Guess-it has to do with the true freshman rule. In the first semester, true freshman must compete as attached. So it would count as one of their 5 competition dates. They must want to save their dates in case Peterson gets dinged up, weight issues etc(also possible one of the 125lbers is dinged up).Of curiosity, why don't we have any of our freshmen 125lbers in. I know Gibson is hurt/recovering...
Maybe his coach knew something about Cetta. He also faced a random wrestler from Colombia who was 14-20 in his career
Blanchette isn't in New England anymore.yes 18-3
It was baffling why he suddenly dropped from the rankings. I've been hopeful that he might be good at 165. Look at his high school record; you'll see he was a pinning machine. I don't know how many times he had to wrestle three periods. Conditioning is the foundation for everything else in wrestling, so it's disheartening to read that guys are getting gassed. He was ranked as high as 4th in weight class I think, not sure who he beat nationally to get that high though… but after he completely fell out of rankings.. not sure bc of losses or bc of inj for that to happen.
Well, his new coach is Donny. For some reason I can’t reply to posts but no chance the other coach knew anything. He got lazy/sloppy for a second and got stuck. It happens but sucks it happened when he had a huge lead.

Thing w Blanchette was ppl were hyped about him bc he was a 3 or 4x state champ and was dominant.. but I keep saying state titles don’t matter as much as who u beat that’s nationally ranked and I was having some doubts on him bc he didn’t face too much National competition.. think his best win was against Gabe Wright, who won Ironman and multiple time PA state champ I think.. that’s what catapulted Blanchette up to his 4th ranking at the time. So when u got a guy that didn’t face much National competition but was dominant in hs then he’s either going get exposed at next lvl or end up being a hidden gem.It was baffling why he suddenly dropped from the rankings. Are there any other results?
Need to see how Casale looks against some higher level guys.. I remember thinking he had some potential coming out of hs.Casale looked good ..O'Donnell and Blanchette not so much
Well part 1 seems accurate (exposed). I don’t see him every contributing here. Yeah I know its 1st matches but Shindel cant start on Hofstra and he lost to him.So when u got a guy that didn’t face much National competition but was dominant in hs then he’s either going get exposed at next lvl or end up being a hidden gem
