OK. Just saw the 60 Minutes interview with Coach Prime (Deion Sanders). I just went from “not in this lifetime” to “interested.” Watch it if you haven’t.

Sorry if this was already posted. I’ve been traveling internationally.

I’d be really happy with him, and I think he would be an excellent coach and recruiter. The problem though is that our brilliant leaders are looking for our next huge, embarrassing failure, and I doubt he will get a look. He also won’t appease the Church of the Nebraska Way. We’ll have to watch him be awesome somewhere else.

This is no different than taking MJ or another unproven coach. TA made it pretty clear he is looking for someone with some proven HC/OC/DC P5 experience. Yah, there is the off chance you are getting the next Dabo but a bigger chance you are getting the next Frost.

This whole sudden hyper promotion of Deon Sanders is bizarre to me. 60 minutes interview, now he’s the cover of the Madden video game. I get that he’s been doing well but what is with him being totally shoved down everyone’s throats within the past couple weeks?

I think you know the answer to that question.

I don't know that Sanders would be interested.

from the interview, it sounds like his goal is transform the image of HBCU's, and specifically help the lives of black kids that come from distressed situations.

if it was anyone else, I wouldn't take that into consideration, but Deion Sanders is on a small list of people who don't need more football-related respect or money to be considered a legend.

Everybody want Prime... but what about Leon Sandcastle?
Well, I'm over both. And now only Leon Redbone has the cure to what ails me.
