The nation has fallen in love with the Colorado hype and the Sanders / Hunter combo. It's crazy that because Hunter was hurt on the play social media blows up. Death threats start being thrown around, calls for suspensions among other things. If everything happens the same and Hunter gets up and plays the rest of the game, all of that goes away and there's probably some talk of a dirty play. The dude hit him late, IN THE CHEST, on an over thrown ball. That happens all the damn time and the flag should rightly be thrown. Add in the fact that the other defender was partially blocking the view and its certainly possible that the safety never knew he didn't have the ball and was just focused on getting a big hit.

Love the mention of the Adrian Martinez twisted knee incident... I guess I missed ESPN's coverage on that a few years ago.

What a crazy world we live in.
American society is broken because of social media.

Can't watch that hit enough. Love it. We all know or have seen someone who ran their mouth one too many times or to the wrong person. At the bar. At school. In a basketball game. And then they got rocked. Travis Hunter has joined that club. Just wish it was Deion's kid.

You gotta admit, his big, stupid mouth invited that retribution. It wasn’t right, but with human nature being what it is, the consequence was not a surprise. He should be not be so disrespectful to his opponents. Maybe he’ll learn that scoreboard is the only thing that matters. He certainly has some time to think about it.

Yippin and yappin are part of football. Lacerating someone's liver is not. Then you have a jackass that is happy about it. IU sucks but I would never celebrate a player on their team to end up like Travis Hunter.

If only the CSU player didn’t hit him with the intent of lacerating his liver… no place for that in the game!

Lighting cocky, mouthy dudes up when you get the chance is part of football. Having your liver lacerated as part of playing a violent sport happens from time to time. Then you have people who are up in arms thinking the CSU kid intended to damage his liver. CU sucks, but I am celebrating some karma for the time our promising freshman QB got his ankle purposely twisted under a pile right on camera and the fact that CU wrote it off as 'part of the game'.

Correct. Now tell your guy to get control of his mouth and other players won’t try to tune him up. That is how life works. He doesn’t get a free pass to crap all over his opponents scot free. Football is a violent collision sport, and in the heat of battle, people take things personally as coach prima donna likes to say.

Action —-> consequence. I am done explaining this to you. Take the W already.

Once it's known that his liver was lacerated all glee should cease. When a player hits a player clearly after the play is over, his intent is to hurt and possibly maim. Same with the CU player that you say purposely twisted the ankle of a QB. Travis Hunter, I assume wasn't the one that twisted the ankle.

Why the drama? Hurt, sure, he wanted Hunter to feel the hurt. Maim? Even Mrs. Incredible is impressed with that stretch.

Agree that glee shouldn’t be taken at his injury. But surely you can see how his actions can lead to consequences?

You can use the space below to document your outrage at Shedeur for trying to gouge out the eyes of the CSU player.

Travis Hunter and his baby liver will be fine. I'm sure some of this is drama.

But you know what wasn't drama? That CSU player lighting him up.

What is ironic is that certain ones that are branding everyone racist for disliking the Buffs are outing themselves as overt racists all over social media.

STFU. You just outed yourself as a racist Democrat. No one is happy that he’s hurt. we do find it comical that you hypocrites cry when you’re on the receiving end of the stick. Hunter got karma slapped, plain and simple.

Like Ive said, this was a good learning opportunity for him.
Stop with this stupid sht.

Its not racist and hes right

Yall try to call soneone racist for calling out people's obvious bigotry.

And no doubt hes right abiut how many would respond on this board.

Did Deion or any CU players fight anyone after Hunter got hurt? I'm not talking about a little shove. All the big talk by Deion about having each other's backs. Curious if they backed it up.

Nobody is celebrating Sanders eye-poking an opponent. Y'all are soft skinned about players jibber jabbering at each other. This is a Nebraska football forum. I remember the old days in the 70' and 80s of the Nebraska/Oklahoma rivalry. Talk about trash talking. Are you kidding me? Trash talking is just words.
If that hit happened in 1995 nobody thinks twice. Just a hit between 2 teams that hate each other. CU is pure drama.

People who condone cheap shots as retaliation for chirping are just as trash as the players who do the talking and the cheap shiots

Scoreboard is how you shutdown talking.

We watched a player die on the field from the same type of hit last year ********.

I have a teenager who runs his mouth a lot. My wife always says he's going to get his *** kicked. I say no he won't. 99% of people won't do **** about it. Travis Hunter ran into a 1 percenter. CU better hope the Pac 12 doesn't have a bunch of 1 percenters.

How does anyone possibly think this is about race? Do you really think anything about this would be different if the player that hit Hunter was black?

The same people outraged about it would still be, and the same people sick of Colorado's nonsense would still be.

When people run out of good words to debate the issue they either resort to name calling and playing the race card

I’m not trying to pick a fight here, because generally, you and I haven’t had any issues with each other. That said, what I am taking from you, and I could be taking this wrong, is that as a white person, I’m not in a position to call anyone else racist. Because I don’t understand racism the way it supposed to be understood. is this accurate?

Just because som on this board feel like Hunter got jacked because of his mouth, and think of that as karma, does that make them racist? It’s that’s what I’m hearing from the boilermaker poster…

I’m not celebrating Hunter’s injury, not in the least… But I’m not not surprised by it either, because of his actions pregame.

For the record, when cocky white guys get jacked, I feel the same way. I can’t stand the arrogance of any kind. Act like you’ve been there. That’s just how I feel.

Remember that white douchebag QB who signed and decommitted to like 7 teams, officially signed with OSU, then Miami and finally transferred to UNLV? Did he ever go pro?...

Anyways, douches like that guy are thoroughly roasted.

Found him. Good ole Tathan Martell. He did not go pro.

The player I’ve hated more than any other is Bill Romanowski. Dirtiest ever.
