Sad to say, this team is just not equipped for it.

Last year's team was always fading with the press in the second half due to a shortage of guards.

2014-2106 - Carter, Miles, Paige, Phillip & Myers had it going on. Quick and physical junkyard dogs ...

The young, newer guys will step up by December. Culver will end up helping once he listens to Huggs. Culver is a talent.

There is a lot of new pieces to this years team puzzle to fit into place...a lot of new faces. Huggs has his work cut out for him this year, no doubt. Really need Esa to man up and be a leader and the player he is capable of being night in and night out.

Or it could go sideways and turn into 2012-13. If they listen to their coach and not cry like a former player did on court. Then yes things can turn around. But as far as the press right now. It needs to be ditched at the moment.

There is no middle ground with WV fans.

Luckily both Oklahoma schools are a mess this year and possibly Baylor.

I never thought WV would be a threat to either of the Kansas schools.

The question is are they better than Tech and Iowa St this year.
I think WV goes 2-2 against them.
Meaning probably a 10-8 Big XII record.
Doubt WV loses more than 3 OOC games.

That is still probably anywhere from a 5 seed to 9 seed.
Could be higher if WV is a challenge to TCU or Texas.

Huggins had a lot of lazy players with bad attitudes. I don't think that's the case here.

It's a learning curve. We replaced two very good players not with 5 star McDonald's All-Americans ( we couldn't afford them like Duke and Kansas) but with solid 4 star players who need to grow into the game. It'll take time, maybe even not this year, but the future looks real bright if all the key pieces stay in place.

Lucky if Culver plays the whole year...

Huge dropoff in Guard play from a year ago. People don't understand what Jevon Carter meant to this team...

It's one game, against a quality team and we had the game in hand but let it slip away at the end. That was JC time to close the game out....if a couple guys can fill some of that void they will be OK. I hoped Knapper would learn from JC last year and be more ready at this point after a prep year and sitting last year. I think he has a chance to be good in time.
