I’ve never been more excited for Preseason Prognosticators than I am this year. Starts first week of July.

Same here. At the end of the day, I’m sure it’ll be the same teams(Bama, Georgia, and LSU) battling for supremacy, but I am really interested to hear more about what writers think about us, OM, UT, FL, etc.

Which brings up something I’ve been wondering... in a given season, is it better for MSU if there’s just one or two superpowers standing between us and the promised land or do we have better chances if the power is spread among more than just Bama, Georgia, and maybe one other? Maybe I’m kidding myself, but it seems like UT, Fl, and a couple other schools are starting to get some recruits that Saban and Smart would’ve normally stockpiled

It's not just you. I think spreading out the talent would help everyone. The only way I can see that happening is if there are significantly lowered scholarship/ total player/ walk-on limits.

However, the pipe dream of unbiased SEC officiating is still required.

I predict that the season will be suspended before it’s finished. I think that it will start but a few weeks in there will be teams forfeiting due to outbreaks and it will be shut down. I hope I’m wrong.

This will be the year of wild team forecasts. What if a team has 15 starters test positive for covid and have to quarantine for 2 weeks? What if a coach test positive and can’t be around his team? I guess you could pull a Hugg and coach from your hospital bed, but this might be a thing.

I somewhat agree man. I’ve been saying all along football will be played, but the way the media is putting a microscope on all these teams, it puts a damper on my expectations.

Hopefully the closer we get, the better it starts looking.

I guess the days of next man up are gone...in 2009, Tulane had 29 players with the swine flu.and they played on.....and unlike this flu, the swine flu actually affected young people and a majority of the fatalities were under age 49...

I predict there will be a gushing love affair for tenn. Every time they have a decent year the pollsters jump all over them the next preseason like they have arrived. Also, how many times are they going to pick auburn to be a top ten team?

Expect a lot of 8-11 game seasons and rescheduled games at the last minute. No way to predict.

This is what I think screws up the season if we play at all. Starters getting quarantined and missing most if not all of the remaining games, and teams trying to adjust to that. This is going to be one bungled up football season. Almost anything could happen.

Spreading out the talent would definitely be better for all of college football. But the last decade has been just the opposite. The rich are getting richer than they’ve ever been.
