Been meaning to post this, but after seeing the depth chart today my #1 hot take for the season is Lamar Jackson being replaced at CB by Cam Taylor. Jackson is just not physical enough which blows my mind due to his size and experience.

Did I miss something? The depth chart I saw said, Lamar Jackson or Cam Taylor. I wouldn’t call that replacing, I would call that challenging him in a neck and neck battle. I was surprised to see that Alex Davis had beat out Tyrin Ferguson, and that Tyrin was listed as “or” with true frosh Garrett Nelson.

People will be complaining about our defense during SA first possession. SA will score on their first possession.

The “1st Half Game Thread” will be calling for Chinander’s job after South Alabama gets their first 1st down.

Cam Taylor will be an All-American...Lamar has improved dramatically but he is nowhere near the level of Cam in terms of physicality, athletic gifts, and leadership. There are always two ways to see these things...but in this case, like with the qb situation we just happen to have a few guys that are all-american talents, who happen to have unusual levels of maturity.

Experience does count for something and LJ has that. He played pretty well the second half of last season, I’m excited to see how he does this season. I do like what I’ve seen out of Cam Taylor though.

Cam Taylor got burned a few too many times last year for All-American talk. We'll see...

For Nebraska:
Mills is actually good, unlike our last RB transfer.
We are better at every position this year except safety, with WR may be a push.

For CFB: Alabama does not make the playoff.

For Husker Board: The usual suspects will avoid the positive threads like the plague, but be all over the negative/loss threads like rats on a Cheeto.
The usual suspects will predict outlandish things like “we can and would beat Clemson right now” like Lou Holtz saying 3 loss Notre Dame deserves a shot at the NC.

I think our safeties are going to be better this year. It's not really a high bar to cross from last year.
