He should have one. And it has nothing to do with playing in the NFL. Hell, Tebow has one (as he should) and he sucked in the NFL.

But he won a Heisman and Natl Championship at Florida.
That gets you a statue.

2. ANYTHING other than him pointing to the sky is an insult, in my opinion.

I agree. He was excellent at State but we didn't win a SEC Championship or National Championship under Dak. That being said, I feel like he has to meet a certain standard in the NFL (Superbowl QB, X number of pro bowls, HOF, or NFL MVP) to get a statue. It would be shameful to have the Super Bowl winning Mannings with statues in Oxford then have to explain exactly why Dak has a statue in Starkville without one of those to point to.

I like the idea of a smaller Jack statue...

We need a Jack Cristil statue that students put a cig in its hand after big wins and smoke billows out of his mouth.

St. Louis has one of Jack Buck outside of Busch Stadium. It should play some of our Jack’s iconic calls.
