While Mitchell has won several games against SMC teams including last year, they have never been able to win the one that counted. More times than not it has been a good to great game but have come up short. Will it change this year? Time will tell, but as I stated before the Heritage game, to be the man you have to beat the man..Whooooooo. And so far Mitchell hasn’t. Hopefully they can get over the hump before the talent drys up.
But you know what, more teams than not can say the same thing when it comes to the SMC. What is it now 8 titles since 2011?

I don't know hard to say should be a good game. I know Mitchell had a bad game against Forest Hill but North Stanly beat them this week 43-21
And I know zero of the North Stanly team so I pulled up the game against Forest hill and started watching to see how they look .... pretty darn good looking team Offense seems pretty balanced and the defense swarms the ball pretty well. This is gonna be interesting. Hope the 2 weeks off don’t affect the wolverines
Lot of unknowns sometimes in the playoffs. Good luck in your last 1A games at least for four years.

One of the crazier things about Mitchell not getting over the hump is that they almost always lose to the state champion. Mitchell has lost to the eventual state champion 7 out of the last 8 times they've been in the playoffs, with Whiteville in 2014 being the only one that didn't go on to win it. I'd say if Robbinsville gets by Mitchell that streak has a good chance of continuing.
What's gonna be hard for Mitchell this year is getting by both Robbinsville and Murphy. HOWEVER, with the injuries both teams are suffering this may be Mitchell's best shot yet

I'd say we will be healthy by the Mitchell game. #50 looked good on the sideline last week. The center could be back by then also depending on his results.
The really big one is a 4 star with a bunch of Power 5 offers

Would be pleasantly surprised if Murphy held them to 14. Murphy has struggled in pass coverage this season and TJ obviously has some weapons in the pass game. TJ has a fairly mobile QB too from what I've seen. This obviously won't be like the Robbinsville game, I expect plenty of offense Friday night. But yes, Murphy's advantage upfront should be the difference in this one.
the lack of playing quality opponents will show up in the Murphy game rather quickly , I think Murphy will blow them out , the Pattie cake schedule they play every year is not a very good method for winning a championship , lack of physicality will put them back in Rutherford talking about how they just can't believe they got beat !
Good point on the weak schedule and how that may impact things. Murphy will be the best team and the most physical team they've played.

Murphy has a lot injuries after the last 3 games. Every game left will be tough.

If there is a Mitchell/ Robbinsville game I really have no idea how they will match up, maybe a even match or if Mitchell is overwhelming under matched for them. But if it's closely matched game big advantage in crowd support of having a home game and having a packed home crowd, in normal times Mitchell is one of your best traveling schools definitely a team in the playoffs you like a home game against due to the gate money and would have brought a bus or busses.
They were founded in 2011, Catholic HS north of Charlotte. Think it's a Kannapolis mailing address. Most students who attend St. Mark's Catholic School (K-8) attend that high school. They've never really been any good. Mitchell should handle them with ease.
