I watched this guy yesterday. I am not entirely certain he's right, but he makes some good points for being an outside observer and fan of another team (obvs), and it might be smart to dial back our expectations a tiny bit and simply hope for a solid 6-6 year.

No arguments against his picks, but is there a reason we should watch 25 minutes of a UGA fan making his picks?
Exactly. This is just a dude in his basement trying to make money off of YouTube subscribers. I was not impressed with his analysis and it was boring just watching him bloviate for 25 minutes with very few graphics. For being such a self-styled expert it seems to have escaped him that when a season is heading into the dumpster and it is clear your coach is going to get fired, that the team gives up and quits trying. We had better talent than a 4-8 team last year and the coaching, especially on defense and the offensive line, was beyond wretched. He seems to take note of our talent via-a-vis teams like Northwestern and Minnesota (which is why he thinks we will beat them), but then never puts two and two together to really analyze what went wrong last year.

We are going to beat Purdue and Iowa. I also think we have a shot at beating MSU.
See.... I didn't need my basement or a YouTube channel to do that.

It amazes me that people actually watch this stuff. These days-literally any random fan, regardless of how much they really know about college football can style themselves as an "expert" and can write an article for some publication or create a video like this and put it on Youtube and some people treat it as if it's something worthy of discussion. There's probably a lot of other random fans, probably even people who post on this board who are just as much, if not more of being an "expert" on college football, but don't think anybody else is going to care what they think and don't waste their time putting out videos like this.

I give him all the credit in the world. Social media isn't going away, you can either fight it or embrace it. He is embracing it and is having at least a margin of success, 10,000 people have signed up to watch his stuff.

I just didn't see any new videos on Nebraska football except pump up videos.
especially prediction videos. take it for what it's worth, but I think it was a fair assessment. so I posted it for the heck of it. But don't think I won't be wanting to beat michigan, osu or wis. :)

So if I think this video is poor in its analysis that means I am fighting social media? Lol. I just think the dude is some hack in his basement. I am obviously not opposed to social media snce I am on here.

As for his 10,000 subscribers.... I bet I could start a YouTube channel devoted to the West Virginia Mothman creature and have the same success.

Finally, just because social media are here to stay doesn't mean its practioners can't be criticized. Far from it. Precisely because it is here to stay it needs to be critiqued.

I was referring to the post directly above me.

Funny, I didn’t see anywhere in your comments about you fighting social media. :)

Exactly. He doesn't know anything about our team, and shows it by blabbing for 25 minutes and not providing one detailed moment (probably) during that time. I didn't watch all of it, but got a general feeling early that he had very little to say that was noteworthy. I know, what did I expect?
