My prediction for this weekend: NU, 17-3.
Our first offensive play will be a deep TD to Roberts.

I really hope I'm wrong, but I've got a really bad feeling about this game.

Geez. This team is destined to make history. That history does not include getting shut out for the first time since 2003. Also, i hate to do this to you, but what does this team need to do to make you believe?:

I'm hopeful but not optimistic. Trees 41, 'Cats 0.

Bo and Luke 31, Northwestern 9. I really hope I'm wrong.

NU 13 UM 7. Only one FG will come on a standard drive. The other 17 points will be set up by (or occur on) special teams / turnovers. I believe in both defenses.

Clayton Thorson is getting better each week, while Jake Rudock has a long history of mediocrity. If that wasn't the case, he'd be starting at Iowa. Both defenses are rock solid, but the loss of their LB will give Justin Jackson just enough room for first downs. My biggest concern is that the rabid fans at the big house will sway the officiating. Maybe replay will work in our favor this week. But ultimately, I think the game will be decided by turnovers. So far the ball has been bouncing in NU's direction and I think the early season intercepts due to inexperience are declining. Not sure the same can be said about Rudock.

i noticed all your predictions are based on alot of wishfull thinking that all good will happen to your wildcats and all bad to the wolverines. luck wont have anything to do with this outcome.

JJ does not get 100 yards rushing but gets over 100 yards rushing and receiving. Overall team rushing is about 120 yards. Christian Jones leads the receivers with in excess of 50 yards receiving while averaging just under 10 yards per reception. Overall team passing is also about 120 yards.

Michigan has higher yards on rushing and lower yards passing with a similar total. Michigan wins time of possession and total yards but both are close.

NU wins the field position battle through being +2 in turnover margin and solid but not spectacular special teams.

Highlights on ESPN are short due to neither team giving up highlight reel plays.

They go into the 4th quarter tied at 17. Michigan's final turnover results in the winning field goal in regulation.

Hey there Piss. So there is no wishful thinking on your board? Just logical discourse? Ok. Well this is a fan board. Regarding luck, I'd like to keep luck to a minimum, but last time I checked it was still a funny shaped ball that doesn't always bounce the way you'd like. Can you look in the mirror and tell yourself that luck had no part in your victories in our last two contests? Oh wait, this is different. I keep forgetting about Harbaugh and the incredible coaching staff he's assembled. I want to thank you and the other blue-balled posters for stopping by to keep reminding us.

Wildcats feast upon yet another prey 16-6. Several long plays and turnovers by D make the difference

1st prediction: NU 13 - UM 3
2nd prediction: A Colonel Sanders look a like will attend the game. The imposter Sanders will roam the stands and ask random women if they would like to try his chicken leg. The rogue Sanders will be escorted out of the Big House by Ann Arbor police.

Northwestern 19 (4 field goals and one touchdown)

Michigan 16 (1 touchdown and three field goals)

Given the strong defenses for both teams I expect we will see what points get on the board from the efforts of the offenses to be primarily field goals. Jack Mitchell will win this game for the Wildcats.
