Our 1 will be Virginia, the 4 will be Arizona or WVU. If they go for max viewers we will probably play Oklahoma first round, as others have mentioned.

Based on the past track record, winning or losing today means nothing. The top 4 seeds are probably set already and the SEC is still playing their tournament. Sad.

It is not necessarily that they are out to hose UK. They just have to make the path for UNC*** and Duke as easy as they can make it. I do believe that they will go out of their way to make matchups that are "exciting" which will mean that any team that has beaten us recently will be in our path,

Hmm, so by having us face off against UNC in Memphis last year was giving them as easy a path as they could? Seriously?

That was UNC****'s punishment for decades of academic fraud. They got nothing else.

We’ll probably be in the group of death, like always.
And we’ll probably be the team with the sickle, like always.

i think if there is a screwjob...it'll be the second game of the tourney.....expect a lower seed than us, to play us.....what if it were Duke or Virginia or Villanova............I dont know though, we may get an easier path if we just stay consistent.
There are way too many examples of this never happening in the cal era with consistent teams, oh say, last year for example. Playing 10th ranked Wichita in second round, or what about #6 ucla in third round? Both games were E8 F4 caliber games, that we played in the second round and S16. We had 5 losses entering the tourney.

We know what's coming tmrw y'all, we will win the SEC after entering the SECT as 5, and get heavily underseeded as a 5 or 4 when deserving of a 3 (I believe we deserve a 3 especially once you factor in injuries and how well we started playing once vando got starter minutes and the committee supposedly factors in injuries in what was mostly an injury plagued season so you'd assume we'd get somewhat of a mulligan on a few of our losses).

I'm gueeeing we get a 5, if lucky they underseed us as a 4. And we get by far the most underseed and/or best 4 or 5 in the field in our matchup. My guess is we get a team who's gonna have to vacate its season anyway and shouldn't be allowed to play in Zona in the second round, or we get a revenge matchup with WV. Just my guess. As we all know unlike Duke and unc every year, our early round games will be made for tv, ratings driven, must see early round TV specifically set up to knock us out early.

What say you all? What screw job seed and matchups do you think we get after winning the SEC? What screwjob seed and matchup will we get with the committee laughing right in MB's face knowing he's going to say, no matter how bad we get screwed, thats he's happy with, and couldn't be more pleased with the draw we got, just like he said with absolute excitement last season after that laughing stock of a bracket where would've had to beat 5 30 win teams to win a title as the #5 overall even though our resume was more deserving for the one seed than UNC's.

I think it'll be a fun exercise to predict our yearly screwjob seed and matchups this year since it's as sure of a thing to happen as Christmas coming in December, and laugh at our predictions when they come true tmrw.
They'll be in the tournament. Few weeks ago it looked like NIT.

I still say it's absurd if Arizona ends up a 4 seed. They did not look like anything close to a 4 seed last night.

Most conspiracy theories are just crazy. I don’t know if this is a conspiracy, all I know is I see the same thing year after year. The consensus view will be that one region in particular is brutally hard, and we’ll be in that region. Several someones will comment on UK’s specific path, noting how daunting it is. The next time someone says some variation of “Kentucky’s draw isn’t too bad” will be the first time.

I don’t believe in conspiracy theories. I also don’t cover my ears, close my eyes and shake my head when confronted with an obvious history....

UK will be a 5. Would bet a ton of money that Wichita St is the 4 and Kansas and/or Duke are in our region.

Or...
Scott is a smart broadcaster and is just placating to UK fans for more hits. I mean, we all know how Scott is considered an authority on collegiate basketball.
He said this during a SportsCenter showing after we got the shaft in the brackets. Exact words. It's no coincidence why UK gets the toughest path and/or underseeded every year. And made it clear he feels the NCAA is out to get cal.

2005 - UK vs. EKU
2011 - UofL vs. Morehead
2012 - UK vs. WKU
2014 - UK vs. UofL in Sweet 16
2017 - UK vs. NKU

How can anyone think it won’t be UK vs. Murray or Marshall in Nashville in the 4/13 or 3/14 game?

Uk isn't going to Nashville. UNC and ut are.

I predict a 4 seed even though I feel we should be a 3 if we win today but I don’t think today’s game matters
Murray State is a pretty good guess as our 13
Probably West Virginia as our 5 or Ohio State

Kentucky will have a play in game to make the first round. Their opponent will be the Golden State Warriors

I think Kentucky is a definite 4 seed with a shot at a 3 as well.I have a feeling that UK will get a good draw this year as too much noise and finger pointing in recent history about the screw job the selection Committee gives UK every year.

You can bet we will be in the toughest bracket. Puke & UNC* will get an easy bracket. Seen it many times before.

This doesn't seem so bad...compared to years past.

You can be screwed via matchups and play location, we should know.

I vote we get shipped to Boise as a 5 seed, start with Oklahoma, then Michigan st, then Virginia, then Duke.
Thank god we didn't get scary Oklahoma. We did get scary Arizona who hasn't beaten a good team all year tho. Chicken littles make me laugh.
