I'm going to say we will be a 6 seed. I'm not saying that to be derogatory at all, I just believe with the youth of this team along with a much improved SEC it will be difficult to not loose eight to ten games in the regular season. I think this team will be much improved by February however I don't believe there will be enough offense to avoid some losses to very good teams.

I think we're a 2.

Duke and Kansas will be 1's.
MSU might be a 1.

We could get up to that 1 line with a strong run between now and January--need to beat UCLA and Louisville.

But I think the team is way better than we thought 3-4 days ago.

We need important wins to be a top 4 seed. Ok to lose to Kansas but will need to pick up some big top 40 rpi wins.

Agree with most on here. I would say our ceiling is a 2 seed and our floor is about a 4 seed.

4/5 seems the most plausible right now. Can't really expect any higher until we see some semblance of good PG play.

2 or 3, we will improve tremendously as yr goes on. We're going to be the team no one wants to play come march.

I can only think of 2 teams that have started 5 freshman, Fab Five and UK 2014

Fab 5 finished regular season with 8 losses, got a 6 seed and made it to the title game
UK 2014 finished reg season with 10 losses, got an 8 seed and made it to the title game

Neither team won their conference reg season or tournament

We do not have the talent of the Fab 5, so it would be amazing job by Cal if we only lose 7 games and get a 5 seed, historically speaking

I would rather be a 6 seed than a 4 or 5

4 or 5. SEC is improving and road games are tough enough that n the SEC with a young team even when it was average

So most of you guys are expecting our freshman starting line up to out preform the Fab Five's freshman year.

Sounds realistic

Can someone tell me that KU is really a top 5 team? If so, then that portends well, I'm guessing a 2 or 3. My gut tells me we'll blow some games we shouldn't, our record will not be good enough for that kind of seed, we'll round in to form at year's end and be the 5 no one wants to play.

It's hard to even guess at this point due to all of the variables. First, we should improve as the season goes on. Second, there's a lot of hype around the SEC being better than average this season. Then, it depends on what the team will look like when Vanderbilt gets back. And, so on.

I like the optimism on this board. It will be interesting how the year plays out. I just think we will struggle on the road against some of the better SEC teams and end up with 8 to 9 losses which would most likely put us on a 6 seed line. I think this team will improve throughout the year but I don’t see the top level talent like Monk or Fox that will take us higher than a 6 seed.

4 seed - They are young and talented but shooting, rebounding, and passing are a work in progress. If we remain a two-man team then I change my prediction to a 5 seed. Our SEC road record is not going to be very good but as long as there are no significant injuries this team could be decent by March.

As has already been stated the 2014 team was an 8 seed. This team is only 6 months or so out of High School. We are looking at 8-11 or more losses during the regular season. Just like the 2014 team nobody is going to want to play us in the tournament. I donot think we will come close to winning the regular season but will make a nice run in the SEC tournament. The guys will be playing much better at the end and it would not surprise me to see them go to the elite 8 from there anything is possible. As a side note: Next year watch out! GBB

I don’t see how this team is any different than the year we beat Wichita as an 8

Only exception is that the SEC is stronger.
