No.

The committee always gives us a lower seed unless we're a super team. They're going to hold the Evansville loss and the Utah loss over this team. Once the tournament starts it doesn't matter.

Barney is the committee chair so you can bet your bottom dollar that you are correct. We re gonna get the major shaft this year

Man yall saying 4 seed must think we suck as to get a 4 seed we would have to lose 2-3 more before the dance. I think we lose 0-1 more games and are a 2 seed in the midwest . 3 seed really is worst case scenario unless we completely fall apart . The good thing is we know a week ago we were the first 5 seed. Since then a TON of teams have lost and we have won 1 quad 1 win and 1 quad 2 win . So right at this moment logic dictates we are up at the very top of the 4 seed line and maybe the last 3 seed. And then we just go higher if we can win. Now we can't get into the 1 line as there is too much distance between those teams but those 6th-8th overall seeds are wide open for us if we continue winning .

Really for the most part where you are ranked ( give or take 2-4 spots ) is about where you will be seeded as the last couple of reveals have shown . It used to not be the case if you compare the final AP rankings with the seedings in the NCAA tourney you will see this the past few years. Or even just compare the ranking at the time of the reveal last saturday and see the same thing . So this monday we will be 9th . Beat LSU and UF and have a few teams lose this week ahead of us and go higher . It isn't rocket science .

If Auburn or UK win the SEC regular season title they will be a very worst a 3 seed and more likely a 2 .

Simply put to be a 4 seed at this point would mean a minor melt down. You have to realize a few days ago WVU and Seton hall were on the 3 line and now niether will be . Who takes their place? Uk does . We keep winning we take more teams place up to a point . We can't overpass Gonzaga , SDSU , KU, Baylor and Dayton. Every other team we can overtake .

If you lose 2-3 more you won't be a 4 seed. Right now 4 seed is Kentucky's floor and a 3 seed appears to be the ceiling with so many other teams ahead of you.

Baylor will be a #1 seed in the South and Kansas will be a #1 seed in the Midwest. So, not sure why everyone thinks you'll be in Kansas's region. Kentucky will be seeded in the South region.

They beat their opponent by 30 points or more in 10 games. Their schedule is weaker than ours by a good margin, but they beat the crap out of their opposition.
NET caps margin of victory at 10, so there is no weight on wins more than 10.

Not much difference in the 2 or 3 seed this season, but I would rather be a 6 seed than a 4 or 5. By being a 2/3 seed we avoid the #1 seed until the Elite 8. If we can win at LSU, I really believe we can win out. UF played pretty good yesterday, but I think we match up well with them even down there. Auburn won't be as tough in Rupp, so that one should be a win also.

What KILLS me the most though is even if we WIN the SEC Tournament, it RARELY gives us a boost in our NCAA seed. It most definitely SHOULD, but doesn't.

It would all depend on where UK is on whatever line they end up on. Also who else is on that line. I mean if say WVU was on that line, obviously they couldn't go South or Midwest so it would be more likely that UK did.

Also Indy is way closer than Houston. If we did get a top 2 seed or top 3 seed, it prob be midwest not south.

If we win out and win SEC tourney, the way these teams are losing we could easily be a 2 seed. With that, we lose just one game and we will be cockblocked no higher than a 4. But we will be the 4 seed the top seeds won’t want in their bracket. The champion this year is coming from us, or thru us. Why? Because of the 3 guards.

Yeah but Duke isn't losing. Dayton isn't losing. Maryland isn't losing.
That's why I think 3 seed is probably the ceiling.

An 8 seed in the region of death on an Iceberg in Alaska. Also anywhere that SDSU isn't so not in Dook's region. For sure 100% in Baylor's region. Poor Baylor. Gonna be 2012 all over again. That was a great time in ATL watching us smack IU and Baylor and get the IU fans back for Bloomington. Man those little ***** were running for the arena while we were drunk and yelling at their candy-striped asses in one big mass for safety. Man, it was fun picking on those little bitches. It was like a blue mob hungry for candy canes. Oh, I miss it. The stories from that trip. I still love to tell them to friends. Sorry I got off topic after I thought about IU scum.

6 sub 250 games probably makes the ceiling lower. Or the roof. The ceiling is the roof.
But SDSU has like 9 sub 250 games. God they better not lose a single game LOL. Hell, the Zags have 8. I mean at least we have a tougher conference. I don't like so many bad cupcakes either, but there are some more ranked teams with more that don't play the schedule we do. It's easy to look at the NET and click on the teams that have 9 Quad 1 wins. I mean I know we lost to one of them, but dam if they make exceptions for players missing games shouldn't they for coaches? EU beat us and Murray ST who leads their conference before Walter got the ax. They were like 9-4 before they lost him.

Hmmm, so wonder why this doesn’t affect Gonzaga like it does us? I can’t find their opponents’ rankings, but I’m going to wager that they have and will have played more sub-250 games than we have.
Just posted SDSU has 12 (I did count a NON DIV 1 team and like a 244 team I believe) and the Zags 8 and neither plays the conference schedule we play. Not even in the ballpark.

That's 20 of their 26 wins sub 100. LMFAO. Grueling schedule. They did beat UW and UNC that aren't on that list LOL. Their 4 best wins that aren't against garbage teams are Oregon by 1 in OT, BYU, St. Marys and ARZ. Deserving of a 1 seed if I ever saw it. 1 loss to UM by 18.:flush: Dam I know it's always weak, but I had no idea until I really looked at it this year. Please give us the Zags or SDSU as our 1 seed. You know Dook gets one of them if they can't weasel them onto the 1 line.

I agree.
I imagine Gonzaga is bewting their teams by a good margin and that makes them look better.

But I heard Dickie V say yesterday "Gonzaga better watch out for Pepperdine babyyyyyy" and went on to talk about how good they were.

Which tells you what you need to know about the WCC and the competition Gonzaga faces. Youd never hear about the elite programs needing to watchout for a subpar mid major.

When it's all said & done for the regular season the Zags will have played 7 Q1 games, 10 Q3 & 10 Q4 games (almost all non-conference home games)

IMO, it really doesn't matter where they put us this year. The tourney is wide open this year and the team that gets hot for six games is going to win it all.

If UK could win the regular season SEC title and not lay an egg at the SECT, then 2 seed definitely a possibility.

Looked at 2 brackets this morning and both have Creighton, Villanova and Seton Hall as 3 or 4’s. One was Bracketville and he had Seton Hall as the top 3, they just lost 2 games in a row!!!!!!!! This stuff is just unreal!

UK 4 seed in Midwest paired with Kansas. Louisville probably be the 2 seed in the Region.

I'm no Louisville fan but I think it's funny they lose 2 and drop to a 4 but Seton Hall loses and everybody still have them as a 3. That just makes no sense to me.

I'll say UK snags the win at LSU, runs the table in the SEC and is reg season champs. We will also win the SECT, get a #2 seed in the South. They'll stack that region starting with Baylor as the #1 seed.....

I think we have to approach it in terms of which #1 seed do we NOT want to play until we have to? Is Kansas a bigger challenge than Baylor?

I'm going 3 seed in the Midwest.

Setting up a UK - Kansas Elite Eight.

If seeding was done today I would have UK at a 3 seed. I think we will end up being a 4, 5 or 6 seed though. As far as what region they will place us in I will guess whichever region is furthest from Lexington Ky.

Rather face Baylor than Kansas- how will Scott Drew fare being the hunted in the tourney now?

duke will probably be a 1 seed. The selection committee is stacked with acc and duke shills. It’s headed by their AD. That matters. They’ll bump Gonzaga or SDSU off the 1 line.

if I’m being completely honest however, duke deserves a 1 seed over both of them. [sick]
Kansas will end up a 1 seed. No way in hell Duke is in your region.

Yeah no question we will be a baring some major meltdown. Duke could end up as a 2. It’ll probably be out East but I would love to see them in KU’s bracket. That said we probably end up with Dayton.
