I'm going 3 seed in the Midwest.

Setting up a UK - Kansas Elite Eight.

The funny thing is if we made it that far, I’d feel great about our chances against Kansas but I will be less confident in our ability to get there. I have a higher level of confidence against good teams than I do mid level teams.

Where KU goes we will go also,we will get UL, and Mich St they will
keep Duke away from us. They will keep Duke away from Baylor, the Zags,SDSU,WVa,Tex Tech and Dayton as long as they can

Kinda depends how you guys finish. If you finish strong I could see a 3 seed.

I’m personally hoping Duke is KU’s 2 seed. Would love that rematch against them.
Kansas will end up a 1 seed. No way in hell Duke is in your region.

Just looking at the current 1’s and 2’s I subscribe to the theory that a 4 is better than a 3 as far as the E8. Things could change, but some of the 2’s appear stronger than the 1’s thanks to the current net methodology. Give me Dayton and/or one of the west coast teams and I’ll take a 3 or 4.

Man yall saying 4 seed must think we suck as to get a 4 seed we would have to lose 2-3 more before the dance. I think we lose 0-1 more games and are a 2 seed in the midwest . 3 seed really is worst case scenario unless we completely fall apart . The good thing is we know a week ago we were the first 5 seed. Since then a TON of teams have lost and we have won 1 quad 1 win and 1 quad 2 win . So right at this moment logic dictates we are up at the very top of the 4 seed line and maybe the last 3 seed. And then we just go higher if we can win. Now we can't get into the 1 line as there is too much distance between those teams but those 6th-8th overall seeds are wide open for us if we continue winning .

Really for the most part where you are ranked ( give or take 2-4 spots ) is about where you will be seeded as the last couple of reveals have shown . It used to not be the case if you compare the final AP rankings with the seedings in the NCAA tourney you will see this the past few years. Or even just compare the ranking at the time of the reveal last saturday and see the same thing . So this monday we will be 9th . Beat LSU and UF and have a few teams lose this week ahead of us and go higher . It isn't rocket science .

If Auburn or UK win the SEC regular season title they will be a very worst a 3 seed and more likely a 2 .

Simply put to be a 4 seed at this point would mean a minor melt down. You have to realize a few days ago WVU and Seton hall were on the 3 line and now niether will be . Who takes their place? Uk does . We keep winning we take more teams place up to a point . We can't overpass Gonzaga , SDSU , KU, Baylor and Dayton. Every other team we can overtake .

Where we were ranked would have had us in the 16. We are in the 20’s in the Net and that’s what’s impacting our seed and these predictions. Right now we are probably a 4.

Hmmm, so wonder why this doesn’t affect Gonzaga like it does us? I can’t find their opponents’ rankings, but I’m going to wager that they have and will have played more sub-250 games than we have.

No.

The committee always gives us a lower seed unless we're a super team. They're going to hold the Evansville loss and the Utah loss over this team. Once the tournament starts it doesn't matter.

I’ll predict it’ll one seed down than what we think we’ll get. It always happens (think we’re a three and we’ll be a four)

Ky sos ranked at 9th, while the zags are 58th.
Seems to me there are way too much politics involved in the ranking process.

duke will probably be a 1 seed. The selection committee is stacked with acc and duke shills. It’s headed by their AD. That matters. They’ll bump Gonzaga or SDSU off the 1 line.

if I’m being completely honest however, duke deserves a 1 seed over both of them. [sick]

I’ll say 4, but probably deserving a 3. But...it’s one of those years where we can be beat by anyone, but also beat anyone. Bring on the 1 seed sooner than later.

The last 10 SEC regular season champs have gotten at least a 3 seed.

So, anyone that thinks we will be a 4 seed or lower doesn't believe we'll win the SEC.

I think we will.

#3 seed in the Midwest.

If we win Tuesday then take care of business the rest of the way then we’ll be a 2 seed in either the East or Midwest. There is just NO WAY that a 26-5 UK team will enter the tournament less than a 2 seed. Especially in light of how even things are this year.

4 seed and we will be in the same bracket as Kansas, Louisville, West Virginia, and if they get in, Indiana and Utah. Because creativity and variety are boring.

Unfortunately, this is entirely possible.
1 - Kansas
2 - Louisville
4 - Kentucky
5 - WVU
12 - Indiana

I doubt we go with San Diego St because that would mean Duke would actually have to play a real team. They want to gift wrap the region for them. We will be with Kansas wherever they go!
Yeah if you pay attention..Duke always gets mid majors in their brackets. More so than any of the other top seeds. That's why 15 seed Lehigh knocking them out was funny on multiple levels

I think it’s too early to say where I think UK is seeded and what region UK will be in. Lots of basketball left.

Selfishly hoping for the 2/3 seed in the East with San Diego State as the 1. The regional is in Madison Square Garden. But I am guessing if UK gets a 2 seed as the SEC champion they will put the Cats in the South Region of Death again, with Baylor as the 1.

It’s sort of a “be careful what you wish for” year.

I agree.

I imagine Gonzaga is bewting their teams by a good margin and that makes them look better.

But I heard Dickie V say yesterday "Gonzaga better watch out for Pepperdine babyyyyyy" and went on to talk about how good they were.

Which tells you what you need to know about the WCC and the competition Gonzaga faces. Youd never hear about the elite programs needing to watchout for a subpar mid major.

The game tomorrow is pivotal. It's the toughest remaining game on the schedule and a chance to grab a quality victory. Our chances for 3 seed or higher in the tournament go way up with a win.

Anyway, I think we'll end up with a 4 seed.

It's hard to determine what region they will be in since it's based on where they are on a particular seed line, the other teams on that seed line and also whether or not SEC teams already occupy a region.

If UK was to get a 2, I'd say they would be towards the end of that line. Total guess but I'd say West at that rate lol

They beat their opponent by 30 points or more in 10 games. Their schedule is weaker than ours by a good margin, but they beat the crap out of their opposition.
