Hang in there. One of the great comforts in life is the fact that children are pretty much 100% assured a spot in heaven, so your little one is currently basking in a greater comfort than any of us have ever known.

As for the other one, sounds like she has quite a will to live.If she's doing this amazing now, think of the great things she WILL do when she grows up.

God bless friend. You and your family are very much our own.

Hi guys! just an update on Dani. She had to have surgery this past Tuesday. She had to open her up and go inside to close a valve where a lot of blood was going through and flooding her lungs and causing her to have a heart mermer. It has been 4 days now and she has improved drastically! She is taking more breaths on her own and her organs are working properly. We are so over the moon. She is heading in the right direction. Keep the prayers coming fellas and GO DUKE! Looking forward to the season but until then I will enjoy my daughter getting better, some Octoberfest and watching DUKE football. Here's to a good season.

Sounds like a very positive future. Each hump she gets past in her young life is a sign of a fighter with the will to survive. I sincerely wish all of the best to you guys. Without you staying strong, Dani has no reason to. That's true courage if you ask me.

What's up fellas and ladies. Just a small but big to me update. Dani is doing so well. She is now over 4 lbs. she has moved up to a CPAP ventilation system. To much to type to explain but trust me, that's HUGE! She is continuing to exceed the Drs expectations. Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes and hopefully we will have her home before Christmas. Cheers to good game by the football team today. GO DUKE!

I work at a local hospital and see NICU children and their parents all of the time going through this kind of thing. Been there 26 years and still can't walk through without tearing up. Sorry for what you lost man, but praising God for what you still have. You have all of my prayers Nickris and family!

WOW OAD!!! This just touched me and Amy wife so much. We appreciate you not forgetting what we are still going through and no I do not mind you updating the fellas on this matter. She doing so well guys and I am so thankful for everyone here and the prayer warriors we have saying a little prayer for us. You have no idea how thankful we are. She has really improved!!! She is now in an open crib and now able to take bottle feeds. It's not an entire bottle but they are training her to get to it. It's only about 3 table spoons but every step is great. Yesterday was actually her due date. She has come a long way especially for someone who was not even supposed to make it. Thank you guys so much again even jchammock. Your not too bad for a KU fan. Haha. Thanks guys and I will keep you updated on her progress and we may be getting her home before Christmas we hope. Have a Happy Thanksgiving and don't eat too much Turkey. I heard it makes you sleepy.
