Michael is going to bring the Salt Life to the panhandle.Already had one, it's next to his 13.1 sticker.
Is it just me, or has the coverage of this been about 1/10th of what the Florence coverage was? I watched some this morning and they were even talking more about what Michael would eventually do in the Carolinas to areas affected by Florence. Barely even talked about Florida. Just strange... seems like the news is ignoring this one for some reason. Or maybe it's just because it developed so quickly compared to Florence which we saw coming for over a week.
Luckily we are west of PCB in Perdido Key and we have only had a sprinkling of rain and a few 20+ mph gusts for the past couple hours. PCB and the Big Bend area are getting hit hard.

My son lives in PCB, and they just moved into their house last week. Not sure how it's doing because they evacuated. Luckily to an extent, it came ashore east of them instead of right on top of them as was forecast.
Early reports are Mexico beach is leveled. If the videos I saw are legit, I have no words.
Yeah, me too. They're in Atlanta now, so might get some storm effects still, but nothing like the coast had. They're not going back until the power comes back on, and schools are closed until Monday in PCB. I think they'll probably come here Friday, then go back to clean up the mess on Sunday. They got a call from the security company that said they had a glass breakage alarm, but it reset so it might not really be a broken window. Their neighbor is a fireman and had to stay there, so he's going to check on things after he gets off duty. From seeing damage on The Weather Channel, it wasn't terribly bad in PCB.
My house still stands, not sure how much water got in as we are in Mississippi now. Accessing damage by pictures from the neighbors but they have their own issues. A lot of my friends will be homeless for a bit.

Mop, is your house one of the newer homes that's up to the latest building codes? Also, how far are you from Bay Point? That's where my son lives. Best he can tell from reports, the damage there is minimal, but it's only relative.
When do you plan to go back down?
Have condo in Miramar Beach(Seascape)All is good, no damage
