So....
Robbie DID have a small heart attack. Us getting him to the hospital so quickly last night stopped it before it got worse
He had two occluded arteries..one was 90% the other was 85%. Got new stents in both
He’s going to be here a few days. Have to get the blood sugar under control
I’m hoping he’ll be out by the weekend.
Sounds like so far so good, prayers and best wishes.

For my husband
Rob is in the hospital…
Went to the ER w/chest pain and shortness of breath last night. Blood sugar was 799
Transferred to Baptist Louisville..currently sitting in CCU with a heparin drip and an insulin drip
Scheduled to have a cath late this morning or early afternoon. Echocardiogram being done right now

If y’all could throw a prayer, good thoughts, positive vibes, etc, his way I’d greatly appreciate it
Prayers for him and you! May the lord bless him with good health and a Cats win tonight for added ease and good blessings.

My nieces husband is in the hospital for the same thing. Sugar and bp too high.
Needs to lose weight and change his lifestyle.

Thank God both him and your husband were warned by their bodies.
I pray the Lord heal him and bring comfort to him and your family.

God bless,
Tim

This is a perfect example of priority management.
It brings the things that really matter into perspective and alerts us that everyday we live is a gift from God.
A lot of things pale right now in comparison to your situation.
God bless

Update on Robbie.
Cardiologist signed off today..as far as his heart is concerned he’s pretty much golden! Blood pressure, heart rate, and all that are stable
Still working to stabilize blood sugar. This morning before breakfast it was 189, so that’s good..but it has really been up and down ..he ate breakfast and they’re monitoring vitals, will be taking his blood sugar again at about 11 so keep your fingers crossed !
He’s moving from CCU to what they call a telefloor..that means basically a step down from ICU but still more than a regular room.
He may get to go home tomorrow, but Friday is more likely.

Not sure how I missed this.

Bev, can you give us an update on Rob please? I hope he's continuing to recover!!!
Oh wow
I should’ve updated here- updated everyone and everywhere else!!
Robbie came home Thursday on all kinds of meds, including two types of insulin.
We’ve begun a diabetic and heart healthy diet. I’ve decided to join him on it, as it could only do me good as well as supporting him.
He’s doing well..a little tired but blood sugars are pretty good and he isn’t having any heart issues
We follow up with PCP on Monday, then his cardiologist on the 28th.

I want to thank the BBN for all your love and prayers. That meant to much to us..and you all mean a lot to me.

I know that he's in good hands because he has an angel for a wife.😁

What's it usually supposed to be for diabetics?

Prayers sent. So sorry to hear.
Same as everyone else. 2 hours after eating. It should be 180 or less. An A1C of 7.0 means you have an average blood sugar of 150 and that is good for a diabetic. Basically you add 30 points for every one point of A1C. So an A1C of 8 equals an average sugar 180 and A1C of nine equals 210 and so on.

Hello Bev, sorry Ive been unable to post lately. It's been crazy here in Madisonville with my girlfriend. She has been on IV IG at home treatments with a nurse coming every thursday for treatments for over two months so far. We also do injections of benadryl and phenegran every three hours and have been for over a week now. We do the heparin flush twice every day here at home for and have for weeks. Looks like this is gonna end up lasting until after christmas, so I can feel your pain and wish you all the best as you move forward.

She's got an ostomy and gastro issues and both of us are on disability, but we be good ! Been wanting to give you a shout out for love and prayers, but simply havent had a single moment to even rip coach cal for losing the michigan state game.... lol

(yes, Cal, I'm still looking squarely at you with a harsh gaze)

And you got all our prayers as you both get back on the road to health. I tried to keep up with all the posts here but just havent had time this year to post at all with the health issues with her and my broken back acting up again. (I'm still hopeful to stay out of the wheelchair )

Living with my brain tumor and bad back is a nightmare, but everyone on here are my brothers and sisters, everyone should know that. Thank you for keeping us appraised of the personal updates and letting us all know how things go.

Love to all BBN and especially us Raftards out here, old timers and new alike !

ON my own personal note, I appreciate everyone that has kept me and Krystal in their prayers as well. It means more than you all can know.

Go Big Blue!

My first thought. Unreal
Yeah it scared the hell out of me. He ended up on an insulin drip for about 24 hours to get it down.. they were surprised all he presented for was chest pain.
Right now his before meal readings are about 125-150. That’s acceptable right now as everything is balancing…we’ve started the correct eating and regular insulin shots..but I wouldn’t be surprised if they put him on sliding scale.
