You forgot the torn ACL and mysterious issue with the right knee.

I'm not apologizing for AP's lack of production by any means, but him being an inconsistent player still affects your life in no such way, correct?

So he wasnt inconsistent before his acl injury? I like alex he's a great kid, I'm not questioning him as a person man. I move on from losses it is what it is and hope we win the next game and i hope he plays well. But you can't sit here and honestly say he has not disappointed you and being a senior with his size and strength is mind boggling

Not sure why a thread like this is allowed. Attacking 18-21 year old kids is pathetic. Saying he has a bad game is one thing, saying he will work at Walmart is asinine.

Poy will twist a knee in practice and be done for season. He's a great kid but Cal has screamed him into oblivion and I think Poy will be glad when it's over.

Poythress is who we thought he is. He may score a few points in a game but eventually he will do what he did today...0. That is just who he is on the court.

This thread is an embarrassment. You guys watch the game? Our offense for the big guys depends on screening. That didnt happen. Go back and watch the game, as I did, look at the cheap fouls called on him. Look at the travel call in the second half. His 5th foul was about as much a joke as the first 4.

Aren't you tired of making excuses for Alex? How do you and others keep up with all of them? Do you have a roladex of excuses that you just flip over every other game?

dude has had to deal with a lot of tough injuries, let's cut him a break...

I'm tired of giving him a pass..show up one game and fold in the next 3. With the ability of this man he has no killer instinct. Soft. Complete Charmin ultra soft. I hate saying this about our guys but I'm tired of the excuses for him. You had family and friends in the building and they watched you have 0 points and foul out in completely limited minutes. You are a leader or supposed to be and he never acts like it!

Agree. I can't wait till we get some incoming bigs, that show some physicality. Bring it Bam.

Im not giving up on you Alex....

I don't think anyone is giving up on Alex, but the OP said that there was never a better time, with friends and family in attendance, in his own back yard, and trying to get more attention in the draft, to have a game with max effort. Then he turns in a stinker like today. Everyone thinks he is a great guy, and want him to do well, but after four years, we are disappointed in his performance, today. He has done this his entire career at UK. He plays a really good game, like he did against Bama, and then he mails it in for the next 3 or 4. Cal is disappointed in his performance. Should we be any different? No one is giving up on him, but he has precious little time left to show that he deserves to be drafted, and most just want him to do so, for his sake, and the sake of the team.

His injuries didn't hamper him in the previous game against Bama. Alex apologists always bring up his injuries when he doesn't show up like today, and when he plays good they always call out posters who have criticized him. He's either good or suffering through injuries. He never just has a bad game.

I like Alex and he's a great role model off the court and in the classroom but he's a model of inconsistency on the floor.

i totally understand your perspective on that man, but i dont think he can build confidence in himself because of the injuries.

He wasn't allowed to play , how do you foul a guy who is behind you and runs into you ? I have criticized his play in the past but today was the refs taking him out for unbelievable calls . I don't sit around like you waiting for a player I don't like to fail so I can be a loser about it . If it was Willis you would be furious at the refs for the bad calls .

It's still kind of incredible that he didn't even attempt a shot. Not a single shot attempt in 16 minutes?

He did , they called a walk that wasn't a walk . Murray was on fire during much of Poys time on the floor , why did he need to take a shot during that time ? He got some ridiculous foul calls after Murray cooled off and couldn't stay in the floor .

I think Alex gives it his all everytime he steps on the floor. It's all between the ears with him.
