Podziemski probably better, but when it’s that close at the exact same position you take the Kentucky kid every single time.
I’ve watched that kid play through all those streams. I do not see him being to the level of Powell. Let alone Herro. I don’t care what records he broke. Kid just doesn’t have the IT factor. We need shot creators.
You always take the prospect who has proved it at the higher level. It has to be Powell. Even if Podziemski is one day better.. he could also be a huge miss.
Anytime you can get a KY. player, from another school, TAKE HIM, He will play for the name on the front of the jersey, not the name on the back of the jersey.

Unless Powell is not 100% healthy for some reason, I think he is clearly the better player now, and would have been considered the better player coming out of high school too - although I don't think that matters. But, Powell might not end up being the better player in the long run.
Most importantly, however, I don't think taking one should have anything to do with the other. Podziemsky shouldn't play major minutes next season. He's a long-term core guy with the potential to be a really good college player (and play professionally too with his size). Powell, on the other hand, would play major minutes next season if he comes to UK (and would probably start at 2G, with Allen at his natural SF position).

Curious why Powell is transferring from Auburn? He was playing well then Cooper became eligible and no more Powell.
sounds like dad made him. Probably used auburn for a launch pad to bigger schools.
I don't know, so I am only guessing, but I suspect he sees he can make UK's team, probably win a starting position, and his family and friends can attend all the games and see him play. Cal has to be reaching out to him, or letting him know he wants him.

Cal made a big mistake by not taking Powell the 1st time around. I hope he does not make the same mistake again.
Powell is better and it isn’t close. Podz plays like 1a that’s why he averages so much and he didn’t even win state. I’d say podz by the time he’s a junior still isn’t better than powell is now
The kid with the English name. I don't want to have to try to spell that other one. I lived in a Polish part of Southern Illinois for a few years. Let me tell you leaving Anglo-Celtic Western Kentucky for that is hard on your tongue.
