I would draft him in the top 6. He will be a great professional. The mock drafts have him late second round, but that's ridiculous. I guarantee that he will play 8 years in the NBA. He could be a star.

He only played 22 minutes per game. 9 points, 5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, lots of deflections. He can guard any position

Take him number one overall. Alex O'Connell number 2.
Seriously he does look pretty good. Maybe mid second round.

I am terribly negative. I can always see the downside. I really don't see Mayer not being a good pro. I would certainly chip in 3% of my salary to see him play for UNC. He would be great for any team because he is versatile and athletic

Can he play SG? Sign him up. Duke should go after Mayer if he can play the 2. He looked like a pretty good defender in the video. And he certainly can shoot. He is the 15th ranked transfer. He is listed as a wing. Played 4 years for Baylor, about as experienced a guy as you are going to get.
Hey Baylor S is announcing at 10 am tomm!

Duke Basketball Report (also known as Elizabeth King Forum) is a good source of info. That is where I found out Baylor S is announcing tomm. at 10am.
Both Crystal Ball picks are for Creighton, but at least we will know and can move on.

I don't know, Scheierman looks slow to me with a low release. I'm hoping for a guy who can run the court and play defense for that position considering we'll have a number of scorers next year.

Hadn't thought of it that way Lift. Makes a lot of sense. I just hope he can also hit from the perimeter, as we appeared to be lacking in that area last several years.

Mayer from Baylor is a similar player to Baylor S. A better defender. Not sure if he can play the 2 he looks more like a 3. Still a heck of a player and can shoot the 3. Mosley mentioned wanting to play with pros, so maybe he picks Duke. He also is waiting on his decision, so maybe he is waiting on Keels. But everybody wants Mosley.

I've always liked Mayer, mainly because of the mullet. I just hope he doesn't end up at UNX, he could be a Manek for them.

Mayer to UNC would be bad. He is really good. he could play the 3 for us but I imagine we go hard after Mosley or AJ Green. Mayer may stay in the draft.

"There's no substitution for Trevor Keels. We haven't even talked to Trevor about that. Our thing is to tell him to go full bore through the drafting process and do everything you can to make it."

Sounds like to me, Jon is saying to stay in the draft, but I could be wrong. I like Mosley as a potential guy, I think he fits what Duke needs.

I watched the presser, I took it as, Keels is genuinely on the fence but the advice he gave him is that if you’re going through the process go through it all the way, as if you are going to stay in. That’s what he was saying. So take that however you’d like but he’s being supportive of Keels. Nothing would surprise me.

He did mention that Trevor was "testing" the draft, so a return is still possible. Probable, perhaps not.

Personally, given the way Mosley shoots, I'd want him over Keels - though I think Keels will be better next year (wherever he is - not sure he'll go round 1 in the draft, though). Duke's paucity of 3 point shooting in recent years needs an influx. We need pure shooters.

Being drafted in the second round does not seem to bother most Duke players like it does players from other schools, so I think Keels stays in. Him back would certainly be a nice surprise. And there is a difference between early second round and late second round. keels is mid second round at worst.
