This class has dramatically changed the talent level of our WR and RB group. Depending on how quickly the offense is grasped by these guys and they stay healthy, there’s a chance we could see the offense that we have been waiting for. So let’s just take a look at the weapons there are at this staff’s disposal.
You could see a combination of
Mills/Scott/Washington/Morrison
Manning/Warner/Chase/Betts
Spielman/Robinson/Nixon/Fleming/A.Brown
Stoll/Allen/Hickman

There are a lot of guys that can beat you deep, forcing defenses to play over the top. There are a lot of guys that can beat you in space, causing problems for defenses in the screen game. There are guys that can play RB or WR. There are guys that can pound the rock in a physical run scheme. There are guys that can get the edge in the run game. There are skill guys that can play quarterback, like Alante Brown. There is a quarterback that can play WR, like Luke McCaffrey. It is very exciting to see it all come together and I’m saying all of this understanding that this offense is Not yet fully loaded.

Here’s hoping we see much less of Stoll/Allen and much more of Travis V at TE on passing downs

Stolls decent, I like Vokolek too, but Hickman is better at his role than Allen is imo.

But, make no mistake, there are different roles.

Disagree Stoll is a terrible blockers, Hickman and Vokolek needs to see the majority of pt
He's gotten better at blocking, but still comes off the line slow. Vokolek is bigger and if they dont slow him up off the line, which is harder to do, he can use that big body for a catch.
I haven't seen enough of Vokolek to place him above Stoll, but their roles in the offense match.
I hope Vokolek is a more complete TE.

The fact that the class didn’t have a TE kind of tells me the staff likes the TE room right now. As I know there are different types of TE; Hickman should end up the best of the group. The staff really likes his blocking and he’s athletic enough to be involved as a receiver

Stoll showed flashes last year where you thought he could take over a game as a receiver but then when disappear for long periods of time in a game. He really has a chance to develop his game this offseason. Vokolek is obviously the wildcard. I’m not sure anyone really knows if he will end up as just another kid on scholarship or a legit contributor.

Combined it’s an interesting mix and the position has great potential. The only real spot without any true new blood

WRs can run deep all they want, but if we don't have a QB that can throw it more than 25, won't matter.
I need to go back and watch Adrian as a freshman. I could have swore he pulled the trigger and threw the deep ball fairly well. Sophomore year, I’m not sure if he lacked the arm strength (maybe due to some shoulder issue?), or the fact that you had short or slow guys running those rhythm routes, causing lack of separation, and a decrease in confidence for your qb to let it go. I’m not really sure there. I get your point though.

Yeah, there's boatloads of dudes like us who really want to know what the real deal with AMart was this year......but who knows?

Fleming will be too Fast to keep off the field! Great problem to have.

We are lacking that really good athlete at TE. One who can block and Stoll was horrible as stated and we rely on the TE to trap a lot and then someone who is dynamic in the open field. Who was the last TE who could do that? Remember the horses at TE Tom had? Hickman might be that guy, needs to get bigger if they plan to move him inside.

i think the way to use Luke in 2020 is the same way the Saints use Taysom Hill. If I’m Scott I’m watching Saints game film and installing the same type of packages NOLA uses for Hill for Luke

Luke McCaffrey will see the field all the time in 2020...if it’s at QB, RB or WR. Frost will get him on the field as much as possible. He’s one of our more dangerous players we have.

Hill is more the short yardage guy. Martinez would be more of the short yardage guy while Luke is the big play guy.

This. So much this! Might as well get him on the field due to his sheer athleticism, and technically have two qbs on the field at any point that can throw or run option from anywhere. Talk about DANGEROUS.
