Some of y’all are so far gone about Covid that it’s embarrassing. There’s no coming back for some of you. Many men in Mississippi have read where obesity is a pre-existing condition to getting Covid and you notice that you can’t see your dick when you stand up anymore. Now, you are regretting the all-you-can eat buffets you’ve frequented for the last 20 years while you shame the rest of us for going places.

The most frustrating part of this entire ordeal is the people like you that continue to highlight each individual positive test. The goal in March was never to eradicate Covid. The goal was to flatten the curve.

The constant goal post moving only allows you to never stop with your incessant negativity and catastrophizing.

L4 has an agenda. And not just on this board. Ever notice they never discuss sports on sports message boards. Just the repeated nonsense. It's a Covid troll.

3300– including faculty and staff as well as students.

And because 9 are positive, roughly 330 people are in quarantine.

That was the point y'all should have taken from the article. That's 10% of them quarantined after a week. You aren't going to be able to stay on campus long like that. In NE Miss right now I'm presently surprised it wasn't more cases. I wanted to see the reaction before I commented, and I wasn't disappointed.

Here are the hospitalizations in Mississippi for for and with Covid in the college (and expanded) age range.

View attachment 17252

Here are the total cases and the deaths.

Do the math. Nearly everyone will be fine. That's 0.08% of cases 18-29 resulted in a death. 1.3% were hospitalized. And that's of the cases that had a positive test. That doesn't count the ~10x number of people who were asymptomatic.

No they’re not. Most people have no regrets about the buffets other than they now have to stand 6’ apart from their fat wife as they waddle through the line. If they had regrets, they could’ve changed their lifestyle 6 months ago and be much healthier by now. They don’t want to change their habits, but want me to shut my life down to keep them “safe”.

What sports do you want to discuss? I was around here a long time before COVID. Y'all banned me onetime for arguing with Coach 34. I've always laughed at that given what eventually happened. I generally don't argue too much here about sports anymore. This place is pretty sane when it comes to sports since the split. I love hockey but am pretty much a Preds fan so that's over. I love Liverpool and the EPL, but they are done till next season. I'm not a big baseball fan but I do watch the Braves a lot. I don't care for the NBA. I would like nothing better than to be getting excited about MSU football. I'm trying not to till I see if we are actually going to play or not. It's going to kill me if we don't play and the high schools wind up not playing either. My whole fall revolves around those to things. If we play I'll be really happy. If we don't I won't the like it, but I can be a grown up and not throw tantrums about it.

No, I said posted without comment. I always intended to eventually comment. I just wanted to see the reactions and if anyone would get the real take away from the article. I'm not surprised at all by the one who did.

One of these is true:

1.You are either obese.
2. Old.
3. Believe anything you hear without researching yourself to find out what best fits your situation.

(If #3, you ride around in your Subaru with your mask on your rear view mirror to save you from yourself).

I had them. I got rid of about 50-60 pounds in about 4 months. That was A few years ago. I got my self down from being obese to being in normal range for my height/build. I've stayed there too.

Only 9 positives out of over 3,000 tested? That sounds like great news. Not sure how anyone could possibly expect to have fewer positive tests than that when testing thousands of people.

FWIW, that’s why the SEC pushed the season back three weeks. Students will be back on campus for a month before the first games. Gets everyone through the first wave of tests and imminent quarantines in plenty of time. It’s all very much expected- or at least should be.

It also lets the NFL get going first to see how that goes.

You would be very wrong on all of that but #2, and you are wrong there. I'm in my 50s, not quite in the higher risk groups there yet. Definitely not obese, but I was a few years ago. See the other post. I research this stuff very heavily because I need to to do my job. I do have a mask in my car, right now it's on the back floorboard. I wear it when I'm supposed to and need to. That doesn't include by myself in my own car.

isn’t it strange how the news has moved from elderly and vulnerable to kids? And like clockwork the general public has too? When is the last time you heard of a case in a nursing home reported on the news?

cant be that they are pushing fear to sell papers and get eyeballs on the TV while the schools are reopening. Nahhhh.

That's because cases among the young have exploded. Most of them will do fine. It's the people they pass it to that are the problem. Now as for nursing homes, they are still dying from it in them here, and we had a boatload early on too.

They haven't tested everyone, if you are talking about NECC. They have nine positives, no word on how many tested. The big news is that 300 are already in quarantine after one week of school. Notice that was the headline, not the number of cases.

Could of been more, or could have been less. We all knew opening up schools that we would have more cases. Kids need to be in school. College kids too. Take your 17ing agenda somewhere else. We can read the news. We don’t need you selective propaganda posted everyday. You should get Strat to come to your basement and you guys collaborate.

Here is a hint, don't like what I'm posting? Post something post something productive and instructive to counter it. I love the personal attacks though! Keep them up! LOL!
