I like Gabriel off the bench as sixth man. He can come in for anybody on the team.

He comes in for Fox, then Briscoe plays the 1, and Gabriel is the 3.

He comes in for Monk, Briscoe moves to the 2, Gabriel plays the 3.

He comes in for Briscoe at the 3.

He comes in for Willis at the 4.

He could come in for Bam at the 5 as well, though I think it's going to be SKJ or Humphries backing up the 5.

Gabriel off the bench gives us a little more flexibility off the bench, IMHO.

I am kind of torn on who I think will start. I guess it can go several ways.
Short and fast:
Fox
Monk
Briscoe
Willis
Adebayo
This line up has 3 guards that are 6'3" - 6'4" and 2 post players that are 6'9". I call Willis a post player. But, in reality, he is a stretch 4. Would be fun to watch these 5 get out and run. Then have Gabriel, Humphries, and SKJ as the bench. No real backups at Guard. But Cal can rotate Gabriel and Willis to the 3 to rest a guard.

More Conventional:
Fox
Monk
Willis
Adebayo
Humphries
This is a more conventional with two guards, wing forward, power forward, and Center. This line up would be slower, but have better size. Have Briscoe as depth at guard and Gabriel and SKJ at forward and center.

I am certain Cal will switch things up throughout the season depending on who is hot and the matchups. Either way, it looks like it will be 7 or 8 player rotation.

I think Willis should start. We will need his offense. The problem we will have is on defense.

Cal wants to switch every screen. With Willis in there, it is hard to do that. He is too slow to guard the 1-2 spots on switches. And most 3's are too quick as well.

So, Cal has to try to work around that when Willis is in there. The best way is to put him on a 4 and play straight man to man as much as possible, since the 4 man is generally slower than the 1-3 men.

Those wanting to put Willis at the 3 spot need to understand that Cal values defense and will not play Willis in a spot where he is matched up on a player that will routinely beat him off the dribble.

For that reason, Willis will play almost exclusively at the 4, unless he guards the 5 against some smaller teams. He really needs to improve his lateral quickness in order to get any run at the 3.

It's more likely the quicker, more athletic Gabriel will play the 3 spot when Cal wants to go big. I would expect this:

G Fox or Briscoe
G Monk
F Gabriel
F Adebayo
F Humphries or Killeya-Jones

Don't care about who starts, minutes is what matters. Briscoe WILL start though!!!

Fox, Briscoe, Monk (30-32 mpg)
Bam 28-30 mpg
Gabriel & Willis 20-24 mpg
Humphries 15-18 mpg
SKJ 10-14 mpg
That is your 8.
Hawkins 4-6 mpg
Wynyard, Mulder, & walkons combined 2-4 mpg.

When Fox & Briscoe are on the court together (16-20 mpg), I see them sharing the primary PG duties. When one is sitting the other will be on the court as the PG.
