I don't have to try. It does look bad. And he's falling into the same trap putting 6 in a class again. That's exactly what Manning did and with a combination of injuries and NCAA rulings it jumped to 8.

7 is still the number of significant contributors we lost.
If Jackson is retained and starts getting more minutes + one of this year's sophomores has a season ender we're pretty much in the exact same boat we were when Haith took the job.
Let's not replace somebody because they weren't a significant contributor last season. Or not mention them or their replacement because they weren't a significant contributor. Oh my, what do we do about Horne, where does he figure into your significant contributor discussion. A scholarship spot is a scholarship spot. Won't let it rest, will comment after this, won't have been a significant contributor to this conversation. I would have quit way earlier, but it was amusing to drag this on. Bye
Well, so far we haven't seen that Haith did a great job of that. The players he got haven't achieved anything yet. Add to that he's super sizing another class.

Hai guysm. As a fellow Hurricane (albeit of the south Florida orange and green variety) I remain quite interested in the doings of one Frank Haith. We loved the guy at first, although that had a lot to do with the fact that his predecessor Perry "Fathead" Clark was absolutely reviled by the time he was unceremoniously shown the way to the exit. Haith was supposed to be an ace recruiter whose eye for talent would overcome his initial lack of coaching experience. It was assumed that he would grow into the position. He didn't.
Frank got us some good players but never really succeeded in getting the most out of them, with the possible exception of Jack McClinton. In his seven seasons at Miami he made the NCAAs only once along with 4 NIT appearances, reached the quarterfinals of the NIT twice, and never achieved a winning record in ACC play. The fanbase was resigned to having him around for at least one more year and possibly a second due to our financial inability at the time to buy out his contract.
Then Christmas came early. He quit and took the Mizzou job. Miami hired Jim Larranaga from George Mason and embarked on (currently) seven years of unprecedented success. Four NCAA bids (including this year's third consecutive), two sweet 16s, a run to the NIT final, and an ACC regular season and tournament championship. He has finished at or below .500 in the ACC only once since he arrived, which is pretty darn good for a school not considered to be a traditional (or former) basketball power. 75-49 in 7 years of conference play is really good for any ACC team not named Duke or UNC.
Coach Haith is a nice guy. He's not a great basketball coach. Being just a good recruiter wasn't good enough in the ACC, and I suspect it won't be good enough in the AAC either. That (along with his propensity to jump ship ahead of NCAA sanctions) should give you some serious doubts in regard to extending his contract.
