Maybe Trae Young decommits from OU and joins them.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye: Would rather see all of them in the SEC.

This could get interesting. Hate the fact that the dad seems to be using him to get a job. Daddy seems to be in control of his recruitment and wherever dad can land a job, son will follow, instead of the son choosing the path that is best for him.

I really don't believe it. I'd be shocked if they decided to go play for a terrible Mizzou program that has no coach.

Porter Sr was close to Kim Anderson and wouldn't let them go play for him. Mizzou would have to hit a home run (everyone around here says it will be Cuonzo Martin or, ironically, Romar) to get the Porters to Mizzou from what I have seen and heard locally.

They obviously have no interest in winning. If the rumors are true, they are going to a horrible Mizzou team that won't make the tourney. If the rumors aren't true, they are going to a horrible Washington team that won't sniff the tourney.

Man, every time I read how bad Missouri is I think about my time at Fort Lost in the Woods. Never so sick in my life.(C-4-3) I ALWAYS agree....Missouri is HORRIBLE.

Ha. I remember in my initial MOS's AIT, everybody that transferred from their BCT in Lost-in-the-woods bitched endlessly about their hot, ******, backwoods, gravel filled, rage inducing basic training.
I thought I got off the hook by going to Relaxin' Jackson until I ended up in E-2-13 with an airborne infantry vet, a Ranger, and a green beret as my DS's. Didn't get to that relaxin' part that I was hoping for. Just a lot of sand, humidity, heat, and pushups on fire-ant hills.

Really good article about the background of Porter (dad and son) ending up at Washington.

http://www.thenewstribune.com/sports/college/pac-12/university-of-washington/article121905773.html

If Romar is really feeling the heat, it would make a lot of sense for the Porter's to bolt. And...Romar himself could potentially parlay all of this into getting the Mizzou job if he wants out before the ax comes down. He coached at St. Louis U, and now he could bring the Porter kids along with him. Missouri doesn't have much to lose at this point, and Romar knows he's on the thinnest of ice at Washington.

Mine was cold and dry....even when it rained and it rained and rained and rained (snowy, nasty, dirty rain. (This was in January and February) I know I had at least a gallon and a half of nyquil. (That is all I could get away with.) (That was basic for me then, then I went to Goodfellow AFB and then to Fort we-gotcha for my AIT's) Be Good

The only way that Porter Jr goes to MethZoo is that Porter Sr goes there as the Head Coach or that Washington fires Romar and the whole bunch goes back to Columbia. Both are long-shots.

Well alright then. Think it could be time to believe it.

This board is great at finding/bringing up things like this.

The info. even finds it's way to another board very often.

Honestly, if Porter went to Missouri and they got a half way decent X's and O's coach in there, they have enough to probably compete. Phillips, Barnett and Hughes are solid players.

I think UK should create an asst. coach position that is only good for 1 year. After that 1 year, we would then go and hire another 1 year asst. coach. Then repeat.

I absolutely abhor this practice. It is nothing more than buying players and I hope in never happens. I don't care how good the kid is.
I absolutely abhor the NCAA and their forced amateurism stance. Nobody else involved in college athletics or college in general is prohibited from maximizing their earning potential. Only the players, you know the kids that actually create the product that generates $Billions each year.

So if a family can find a loophole, then I am all for that. Although I would prefer that the entire system be replaced by an Olympic model.

To me, that's a terrible idea. I hope they never turn college athletics into a highest bidder system.

This is a done deal, then. The interesting thing will be if Trae Young joins them.

Good for Mizzou. Bring it.

Let UNC and Duke get in the mix for him, and we just show Knox he's a priority. I'd be let down if we hired his dad just to get him for a year.

I must've missed something. Do the porters have a relationship with Missouri and/or cuonzo Martin?

Porter Jr heading to Mizzou.

Wow.

Still think setups like that are so shady
