There's no need to pry them away if our overly paid coaching staff actually did their job and SCOUTED.
I'm convinced half these assistants aren't capable of evaluating talent and or fit to a team.

We got Mark Fox getting shouted out by Barkley though. 🙄

To me the two that stood out the most are:

Tyler Tanner. If he doesn't go pro. Pope needs an elite PG and he can be it. He reminds me A LOT of Tyler Ulis. I would much rather have him than Lowe and make Lowe back up PG if he stays.

Pryce Sandfort from Nebraska. He's a SF and boy can this kid shoot well. He has a super quick release and is decently accurate. I think he would be a great edition.
Sandfort is amazing I agree. He is definitely one that I could envision playing in our system very wells

There will be so many good PGs (and players in general) in the Portal it's crazy. It would seem that UK would need a massive amount of video analysis, scouting and analysis to weigh and rank options. Is this the job of the guy UK recently hired? Maybe the assistant coaches do some of this, but until you stop playing they can't be too involved with that, right? I guess a GM could be involved with that also, but I believe a GM's most important role would be budget allocation and negotiating deals with agents, leaving the coach to recruit the players on fit, vision, etc. unencumbered by money talk (e.g., Why you should play here if GM & Agent get the money fair/right.)

Tanner and this kid

If you hadn't seen him play you have missed out. Dude is electric. This video doesn't really do his handles justice. Has the ball on a string.

If they enter the portal, ALL of the top programs will want them, of course. They can only go to one school, so it would be nice to see one of them pick UK. Still, though, you have to have back-up alternatives in mind.

I was surprised he didn’t take any of the shots when Nebraska went to the zone. I thought Vandy would light them up.
The zone covered the outside shooters extremely well. Nebraska coach knows defense!
