Interesting idea and even if a player is leaving for NIL money, the program benefiting from it might need to think if that player is worth them compensating his old team to have the player join their program.

I like the idea. I wish the concept of binding contracts was part of the NIL. If you sign with a new school as an underclassmen, you are there at the new school for at least 2 years before you're eligible to transfer to another school. Build continuity with the program.

I think new contracts that colleges are devising for revenue sharing (assuming House vs NCAA or whatever) gets signed tomorrow have this already included.

If schools get NIL under their wing they can probably include everything under the same contract/adendum.

In any case the idea is to have buyouts if some type of a kid decides to change schools
