Hearing that the backup to Shedeur Sanders might be entering the portal. His stats Saturday against Utah: 17/24 for 195 yds, 1 TD, 0 int.

Good question. Everyone is so focused on "who will we get?" but it's a lock that we'll lose someone that hurts.
I'm actually very hopeful that our key contributors are staying. I am certain that our coaches are recruiting them as hard as any high school kids. The portal market has shifted somewhat, with the most value being placed on Juniors and Seniors. Many of our most productive players are frosh, RFrosh, and Soph. kids.
I have also heard there is mutual interest between Howard and Nebraska. But he will be a tough pull, if/when he enters the portal, a lot of big-time programs will be interested.
Has averaged 6 ypc during his career at FSU/KSU. Solid receiver out of the backfield and has some return ability. I would be interested in him.
there's no doubt he's gone from k-state. an absolutely outstanding dude and qb. somebody's getting a winner.
btw, sweet irony here if he goes N with amart having done the k-state gig. i'd love it. a ton of k-staters would be rooting gbr if this happens.
If Rhule and staff can get a Major QB Transfer I believe that will relax the fan base a bit and get everyone to the Spring Game.
Add a QB and a few other standout transfers and people will start chugging the kool-aid by January..

Portal is our only chance of improving next year… but good lord is it a shitshow. Agree 1000%. Kids should be allowed this ONCE, and/or lose a year of eligibility. It’s untenable currently, and now that kids know they get paid, it’ll become Exponentially worse until the whole system is overhauled, regulated, defined.
Haven’t deviated from that. Yeah it’s our ONLY chance of being better next year (whiff like last year and we’ll be worse, for sure), but it’s a shitshow. Wish they’d never have launched NIL, either. We’d be WAY better off if it didn’t exist. I’m not being an ******* about because I like it… we need it. We need to adapt like everyone else and this fanbase is RESISTANT to it.
People smarter than me about this ****, within the AD, say things are being done. I’m sure it won’t happen tomorrow, but I’d be surprised if this DIDN’T become better defined and regulated. They need to hurry tho, because we’re being relegated to history otherwise.

He’s the lowest valued QB in the top 25, or was as of 2 weeks ago. RANKED teams, so that’s good. He’d still be a HUGE improvement over what we’ve got (lol that’s not saying much, at all), but we can afford better. IMHO.
Some of the young producers might be sniffing around for cash. Take Lloyd for example, hope the collective takes care of him.
