There is going to be a lot less action than years past but it's already starting for the 26 season. No R info yet but I'm told Maryland is importing Yale's transfers.

IL reporting at least 2 to Maryland. And Owen Gaffney from Harvard is headed to Duke.

I can't say the players name yet as they haven't announced it publicly but it's making the alum rounds. We picked up a very interesting transfer that will be here in Jan and immediately eligible. Big, athletic, down hill dodging two handed middie that can run. Wouldn't be surprised if we see them getting time right away. Best part is they have 2 years of eligibility.

He’s announced it on social media. Blake Borges from Syracuse is coming in as a mid year transfer.

He got caught up in the wash at Syracuse in the staff change but he’s a big athletic middie who can run and is skilled. He had a big fall for them. Assuming he can pick up our systems fast I’d expect to see him earning time quickly.

Syracuse will be an interesting follow. Big expectations and word has been leaking out that things aren’t all roses there.

Played in two games last season and did not record a stat. For what it's worth, was ranked #89 overall in the IL 100 in the 2021 recruiting class. As per his bio from the Cuse site (see below), he is a Rutgers legacy.

2024: Appeared in two games in his third season with the Orange … made his season debut against Vermont (Feb. 3) with a second appearance the following week against Manhattan.

2023: Saw the field in four games as a reserve midfielder in his redshirt freshman season … made collegiate debut against UAlbany (Feb. 10) … took two shots, both against Hobart (March 25) as the Orange retained the Kraus-Simmons Trophy … put one chance on cage.

2022: Did not appear in any games.

Before SU: Inside Lacrosse Power 100 Recruit … Ranked 89th nationally in the class of 2021 … Maverik Showtime All-Star (2018) … LoHud All-Section I team … Geico Lacrosse Showcase MVP … Began his high school career at Yorktown before finishing at Brunswick, which was ranked as the No. 4 prep team in the country by Inside Lacrosse … Also played football in high school.

Personal: Son of Joseph and Anne Borges … Has one younger sister, Alexa … Father, Joseph, played three years of college lacrosse at Rutgers from 1990-92 ... Sister, Alexa, is currently plays lacrosse at Marist.

Had he stayed, based on fall play, he would have played a lot this year. Their loss, our gain.
