I don't blame him - this current "style" of walk down and launch circus half-court shots every trip with no defense is boring as hell. At least the style of college basketball is trending towards a more exciting brand than just run and gun (for most teams not named Alabama, that is).

They should limit the number of attempts that's worth three points. You can have up to 25 attempts a game that'll count for three .. anything over 25 it counts as two points.
No need. Just bring back hand checking and allow for hard fouls when players attack the hoop. Players used to pay the price for attacking the hoop and they weren’t allowed to move freely on the perimeter. You thought twice about going to the basket and the defensive player could put both hands on the offensive player and guide them to where they wanted. Do you think it’s a coincidence that Steve Nash’s overall avg. assist per game was 4.4 during his first seven seasons in the league and then he miraculously increased it to 8.8 in year 8 and then in year 9 to 11.5, which is the year he won league MVP.
25 is plenty. That's 6 or so 3-pointer attempts a quarter average.
Done. Overnight the reliance on the 3-pointer would disappear. You might have teams wait until the 4th quarter to even shoot a three.
The rule should extend to college basketball also to. 20 attempts in college worth 3pts
If we don't do something soon it's going to be a detriment to the game of basketball. Three pointer is too heavily used.
This or move the NBA 3-pointer back to 25 ft. College to 24ft. Make it longer till they give up....
I guess boring is all about perspective. Watching Luka get 60/20/10 or the Warriors have everyone on the floor touch the ball multiple times as they pass for open shots is pretty exciting to me.
When they first put the line in most coaches were totally against it like old school coaches like Denny Crum, and Eddie Sutton wasn't fond of it either. Before the 3pt line it had became almost "unwatchable" to the way defenses would just pack it in down low and try deny entry pass to the post became easy and the floor needed that 3pt line bad back at the time for spacing. Alot of coaches said at the time that it was to close but those same coaches or in a lot of cases didn't want their own team shooting it like it was the damndest thing to take a 3pt shot. Also if your playing catch up and a team is up 6 teams would spend the last 2 mins fouling which would turn into hours of free throw shooting and that 3pt like became an equalizer for teams who might be down with 40 seconds to go and it made the game exciting. It's like xtra point is 1 pt. FG is 3pts. TD 6 and safety 2. I think that makes it fun jd they are different ways to score. I think we have got to s point now in NBA where if it gets like that in college I'll never watch that ****. I always been a huge fan of my team jacking up a big number of 3s every game. It killed me when Cal dropped the ball on our 3PM consecutive streaks in games a few yrs ago.
