What had Golden or Hurley accomplished in college basketball prior to being hired at Florida and UConn?

Hurley had a conference tournament championship and a regular season championship (different years) in the A-10. Golden was more of a gamble, his biggest accomplishment was taking San Francisco to the NCAA tournament for the first time in 24 years.

My thing is I think Pope a better coach then Calipari by far and soon as he figures out recruiting and his substitutions he will be one of the top coaches out there. He is proven he can beat top teams with inferior players.

It’s year 3 with Kentucky’s vast resources and he still hasn’t figured it out. He probably never will. Recruiting is somehow worse in his 3rd portal than the past 2. It’s going downhill not up.
