Pope on roster cost

[#1 cat fan]

Pope isn't the greatest at evaluating talent. Harrelson from notre Dame had us in his top 3 or 4 and we just bailed on him in favor of freeman Who isn't half the player and turned us down. That dude is a legit go get a bucket guy we needed bad at the 4

Whatever Zoom is getting is just a guess. A lot of people make grand claims to use as fuel for their complaining.

Pope's shieldbearer can find no fault in him. He's like....the Pope!

Let's be honest for a second. With his record at UK so far, would you actually expect him to say "yes, we had a top 3 NIL budget the past few years"? That would basically be calling himself a failure. I don't think there's any doubt we have at least a top 10 budget and probably higher than that. Are there schools who have spent more?.Probably, but I don't think anyone believes Kentucky has a money problem.

I fully believe UK has a money problem. Especially with basketball and football wanting to get to the top. One of those sports is going to lose. KY cannot afford both.

I feel like I saw that Kentucky is doing a different basketball/ football split when it comes to revenue sharing compared to the rest of the SEC. I think Kentucky was giving a slightly higher percentage to basketball. With footballs recent success, you'd think that would change, that UK would start doing what everyone else is doing and giving football as much as possible. This will be a problem for basketball going forward, whether Pope is the coach or it's someone else.

I’m okay with Pope getting zero percent at this point

One of the dumber Mark Pope quotes and that is saying something.
