“You guys overpaid for a bunch of role players”….sounds like many opposing fans were right last year! Just insane how bad Pope was last year with the NIL money.

Well he had to overpay because we were striking out on our top 3-5 targets at every position. It gets late in the process and you become desperate and the players know they have the leverage. Plus you have a coach with no experience on how to recruit big time players or how to negotiate NIL deals and that equals disaster, which is what we saw this year. This is why you don't hire a coach who has to learn on the job at UK.

I doubt he comes to Kentucky but he is the type of player who would give us fits if he was at Alabama or Florida or Vandy or Tennessee.

We need some star power because we have ZERO right now. We need better than **** good if we want to compete with the elite.

We need players that create. This 5 star love was before NIL. And Cal thinking. If Stokes comes to UK you still must have a team that can pass, break presses and shot the 3.

He’s a mark pope friend. Mark pope just trying to get his friends a quick buck before he is out. Layla pope needs to stay away from the dance team or transfer to Kentucky and join the dance team. Could you imagine if John calipari had Brad shooting half court shots during time outs while he was a player at Detroit mercy. Pope is cringe on every level. Layla is probably happy to be that far from him

I would take this guy in a heart beat. I don't think we have anyone better than him on next years roster other the Moreano. UK is going to need players like this fill out the roster. Pope needs to land some studs and add players like this. I am very down on Pope, but I am not going to let that bias my opinion of this player. Better coaches than Pope think he can play in the SEC.

Sometimes, leftovers are good. Depends on what it is. Meatloaf sandwiches are great.

Now, referencing basketball players? I would think if I did not get picked up by the teams I wanted, I would want to push myself harder and show those coaches they missed out on someone good. That's just me thought hoping and thinking out loud.

Idc what anyone says find the players that fit the system a coach likes to run and work on player development is more important than rankings out of high school

I think UK still has plenty of money. They just need to spend most of it on a few Derby horses instead of spreading it out on all the horses in the race after the Derby.

Well you better make sure you land Stokes first then you can shop the Goodwill clearance section. Not vice versa.
