We waste at least one down a series running a 170 pound rb into the middle of the pile.
I can't understand that 1st down, delayed draw. It didn't work the first 12 times, no idea why Spav would think it would work the next 12. It's a good play....just not in this game. It just looked off all day.
Will seemed unsure whether to hand it or pull out and pass and that took away any burst that may have existed. Agree with OP, terrible play calling. I kind of wish that Dana was still running the offense.
It didn’t help that the receivers were dropping catchable passes.I've seen high school coaches put together a better game plan. Re-watching the game, we were so incredibly predictable. All that talent is being handcuffed by sh*tty play calling by Spav. And I don't mean to be dumping on him but, it just is what it is.
When linebackers are outwardly running up to the line, not even disguising it because they're confident of what the call is, you've got a problem. I've nothing against Jake but, right now, he is not a good option for OC. Refusing to run Petteway, when he had a hot hand against a fatigued line late in the *** Tech game and then this sh*t show today.... it speaks volumes, man.
