Needed a TO to set up a play for PJ...poor coaching
Hey everyone knows Cal just likes to let things play out. Honestly if we did call a time out I doubt the staff could have drawn anything up that would have worked. They’re clueless.
Always poor coaching at the end of the game. WTF not call a timeout! This strategy of his never works!
I’ve been as big a Cal supporter as there is but this team just seems horribly coached right now.

You guys can be mad, but it was poor coaching. Cal wants to let them play it out so they're the star--they had no idea and got a bad 3
Cal is an idiot plain and simple. I don’t care what the pumpers say. He sat and watched as we WALKED it up with 9 seconds and looked lost. So sick of that man on our sideline.

I have loved Cal since the day he got here.
I think this year (coaching, recruiting, etc...) may prove to be time for him to move on.

Cals done after the season. He mentally checked out. We have guys jumping on defense left and right falling for pump fakes. Shoulda fouled them we knew they were going for three. Then to top it off not time out. He just coached that game like a guy who is finished. Waited 2 minutes to put Richards in to stop the onslaught in the lane.
I’m getting so damn tired of watching guys that think they’re better than what they are! This team lacks heart, organization, and discipline yet they want to thump their chests and flex on everyone. Hate this ****!

It's what it is with Cal, A-level recruiter, C-level in game coach. Everybody knows this. It's not a coincidence we keep losing these down to the wire games year in and year out. I'm just sick of the pumpers who call you a UL fan if you dare question King Cal...
The defensive possession bothers me jut as much as not taking the timeout.
You play it straight up and don’t leave your man to double. If they beat you 1 on 1 then so be it. It’s a tie game with the ball woth 10-14 seconds left.
Instead, we doubled and got out of position, scrambled, flew by shooters.. and gave up the 1 thing you couldn’t give up.

I don’t agree with the idiot remark but he is completely apathetic and isn’t giving much effort coaching. Time for him to do something else if he’s not there mentally
Not sure you know much about basketball if you think this team lacks heart. Guy got hot and was shooting out of his mind from 3 with good defensive pressure on him on most all of them. It is what it is. This was a good game to play for UK. Tournament environment, close game. Some players grew up today. And guys were playing with heart all game.

Not a bad coaching job. Herro took a rushed shot at the end of regulation that was a freshman mistake. We should have held for the shot clock, got a drive, and then would have had 8-9 seconds for a rebound put back situation. That gave Seton Hall the ability to get that take-the-lead shot in regulation they wouldn’t have otherwise had. Freshman mistake we will grow out of. This was a good game for us.
Perhaps Cal thought Seton Hall would benefit more from the timeout? Which means he thinks the opposing coach would have done a better job preparing his team in the timeout.
Or, and this is reaching, not calling the timeout puts the failure on the players rather than himself.
What's maddening is that Cal has been talking so much about how he needs to help them. Well bud, you did not help them there.
