POLL: Which board will you use?

I'll probably use both for a while and then pick one depending on who ends up posting on each site, types of posts, and volume. If it's a push, I'll probably stay here, since the user interface there is atrocious. (There is a thread regarding plans for a new user interface for the message boards there, but it really depends on when that interface is implemented, and how good it is.)
After much thought and discussion with God, I have decided to reopen my recruitment.

After receiving messages from all the Rutgers boards about the change, I found out they all decommited from me and asked I respect their decision.

And you think changing boards will stop the food debates and make the teams winners? They already have a weather thread there FYI....so same crowd, old joke, new board.

I’ll probably hang a bit on both, most likely I’ll lurk. But, only pay for this site since my renewal was in Feb and I have zero recourse. Will definitely chat (how ridiculous) to turn off auto renewal here. I really liked the last crew, we will see about the new local guys, and the National guys here (anyone whose last names start with F) are douchey fanboys of other teams, always seemed to revel in bad RU news.
TOS interface is absolute garbage right now and I find it annoying as hell. Borderline unreadable. Shocked that in this day and age a site can be such crap, it’s pretty embarrassing. I used to be a paid member there a while ago but quit. The site layout always kinda sucked (much, much worse now) news was about the same as here, convo was boring, and Dohn was a lot more heavy handed. It was just more fun here and I always appreciated JO’s evenkeeledness.
TBH - recruiting has really nose dived in interest for me, so not sure if I will be premium anywhere. But never say never. Mostly because I like being amused. So whichever site, if any, does it for me, I’ll be happy to support.

I think I'll speak with my family, pray on it a little, maybe have a heart to heart with World Wide Wes and then I'll come to a decision on where to take my talents. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

has anyone else had an issue with that site slowing the computer down..its way too slow right now...I will be busy with work so I would be posting less anyway but not sure I am going to deal with posting alot on 247 until they work out that awful layout and slowness
although I have strong loyalty to John for sure, after thinking it over, I and some other of you guys who arent necessarily recruiting guys and do not post much on the roundtable basically are just looking for Rutgers sports conversation...the place that has the best layout and ease and quickness for us is here. Going to be interesting to see what happens especially for me on the hoops end. Might be a case of a split board going forward
what I am disappointed in is that board over there has a 1997 layout and they did zero to actually improve it before the switch
How do I get on the 247 site? and what does 247 stand for? On cable vision it is the channel for BTN is that affiliated or just a
coincidence?
After much thought and prayers I have decided to open up my recruitment and decommit from Rivals for now. I would like to thank the staff at Rivals for their hospitality over the past several years, but please know this has been one of the toughest decisions of my life. That's because #s won't post here anymore. He was backed by John O and Spanky. Go read the new board and John flat outs admits it. The powers that used to run this board and protect guys like #s are gone. #s can' asked people to be banned anymore.
i'm staying right here.. i've used the 247 board years ago when the RU board over there was nothing but a desolate barren wasteland... it sucks... rivals is where it's at

Yea the layout over there isn't good but it's suppose to get an upgrade in the coming months. I think an app is also on the way too. I gave up premium awhile back because I don't have interest in recruiting but I was going through John O's FAQs about the merger and if you have premium there you have access to all the premium boards but can only post on the one you subscribed to. That sounds pretty attractive if you're into that stuff.
Both boards are going to have their pluses and minuses and in the months ahead I'm sure each individual will figure out which they prefer and as I said above the activity will be a contributing factor too. It's not an either or situation, it could be both, it could be neither, it could be one whatever....
For me it's not just RU sports conversation, I like many things beyond that and the community of the place or places as the case may be now.
Yes, there's an open thread right now from one of their tech guys asking for features that the migrating Scarlet Nation posters want to see, with expectation that there will be a site overhaul before the start of football season.
Its a train wreck right now. If they dont make some changes soon most won't be back. It's really slow, full of ads and hard to navigate. Other than some loyalty to John why would anyone use that site?
I'm not so finicky about those things except on a high level. But you know how long were Rivals boards outdated until just a few years ago or so when they got an upgrade to what we have now and even with the upgrade I had to get used to the change. Change is always disconcerting at first but you deal and it's just a simple message board not world peace. It's the people that make the place fun regardless of formats or what not.
You're fired. Box up your belongings. Make no eye contact with fellow staff. Say nothing to no one. Exit immediately. Go home. Stop and buy beer en route. Once home, turn on Fox News. Fire up the PC. Log on to TKR. Relax.

I love the inside news and info from premium but I'm not a HUGE recruiting guy. So I'm wondering if what 247 offers from national recruiting guys is worth me totally changing sites. I have to think k about it.
One feature I think is cool with the other site is that once you subscribe to premium for RU, you get access to all other schools' premium boards. All in all, I don't know. If this site dies down and isn't what it was, I may leave and subscribe over there. If this site stays like it was, I might renew here.
I wasn't the hugest fan of some of the bias/slights that would be levied against different guys with the former crew, but I suppose some of that was just good inside info and true. Not sure what the quality will be going forward of the writing, but I like Rich from what I've seen so we will see.

And yet RU#'s never asked any moderator to ban anyone. Funny thing, isn't it?

A church is just a building just like a website is just a website. But the people in said church and website are what really make it what it is.
I don't know about that. I mean this guy started his own site from scratch before Rivals was even around. Basically that means he was a pioneer in this field of internet football message boards. I have to think he would know a good opportunity when it presents itself as he has over 20 yrs. experience in the field. John and those guy's will be just fine.
I'm more concerned with these new guy's sucking up to their bosses, the clueless two of Friedman/Farrell who really aren't friends of the RU sports community. John and Bobby butted heads with those two on many occasions. Why do you think they rarely came around here? If they start showing their faces more you'll know the sucking up has begun.

I know RU#'s, and I know that he is not the personality type to ask for anyone to be banned. If he disagrees with you he might ignore you, or more likely he will argue with you to no end. But it would be completely out of character for him to ask for anyone to be banned.
You, on the other hand, seem to have set up your account in 2015 and you have a total of 16 posts on this board, all since yesterday. That certainly should raise anyone's troll suspicions.

I'm finding the other board just not as easy to read then this 1. There's also a TON of ads on mobile.
The other board has a wildly horrible presentation and it's baffling that a mainstream message board would like that way in the year 2018.
