Pick your choice. You can explain why if you choose.

I think he picks UK because we offer the likelier path to the NBA, final four and we have the best winning culture.

Has to realize his best chance to sustain a pro career is being here a couple of years. You have coaches that know what it takes better than most other coaches, pro players to practice and play with, and the pro's know how well players are prepared here. And here, he gets to win a lot. Maybe a championship for his life resume.

I think he is a Cat, but Arkansas can't be underestimated. His mentor has said so many positive things about them. Its two fold to me. There are 2 angles. If you listen to the personal/playing time angle, it would seem to be Arkansas. And the mentor love the coach. But if you listen to Deandre's point of view, and wanting to play for a championship team, wanting to compete for an immediate title contender, wanting to contribute big minutes for a team that actually has a chance to win conference and National Titles, well the only option is Kentucky.
Look, he outplayed Nate Sestina and Nick Richards in Rupp on our floor and did it with emotion and effort. Williams can flat out ball. He was underrecruited out of high school because he was 6'-7" and 179 as a 2/3 highbred. He is bow 6'-10" 200 and retained those skills. He will start for any team on his list.
Memphis is pitching that he fill the spot that Precious Achiuwa had this past year. But the problem is Memphis is really going to be down this next year. With not much coming in.

Baylor was good this past year finishing the shortened season 5th in tha country, BIG problem is that Baylor lost a lot. They lost 6 seniors and also lost their best player, Junior guard Jared Butler signed with an agent and entered the draft.

Arkansas was ranked 10th in their own conference (SEC). They are not a threat and also lost 5 seniors.

Kentucky. No need to talk about who UK loses because they lost everyone every year and replace them and are still top 5.

Deandre Williams is good enough to start for any of these schools. If what he says is true (wanting to compete for championships), the choice is over, he should be a Kentucky Wildcat. And then 8 months later he will be in the NBA draft. Here's hoping that we sign Williams on Mother's day and complete our National Title #9 roster.

Nice assessment! I haven't really heard much about Ark and Memphis. What was his mentor saying about ark?

If we get him, we'll have a myriad of options defensively. Sarr gives us the elite big we need, but Cal will be giddy if he's able to throw Jackson, Fletcher, Williams, and Brooks at the 3/4 and shut down the forward positions of our opponents. Williams and Jackson can defend anyone. I'm expecting Brooks to take a step forward as well. Fletcher is a wildcard but you've got to like the defensive potential of a kid as long and athletically explosive as he is.

Logic says Baylor, or perhaps Arkansas, but playing on the biggest stage is probably something he dared dream about until a week ago. I think he wants the challenge to see just how good he can be and commits tomorrow evening to the Cats.

True; and as much as I like Brooks, I don't think he's the type of talent that would scare away a kid like Williams.

If I'm Williams, I see minutes available at the forward spots.

If Williams comes is that a wrap or if Maker or a top grad transfer big pops up and wants UK does Cal go after him?

If Brooks was referring to someone else, I'd be okay with if it were, say, Jonathan Kuminga? [winking]

Alas, I do think Papa Brooks was referring to Williams.
Kuminga is a hell of a talent. I still don’t think he would have the type of impact as a freshman that Williams would next season. JMO.

Yes and I feel like Brooks is the type of player that welcomes the competition too especially it it makes the team better. He seems to also have a Dad that has his best interests in mind and knows he needs further development. Maybe they look at not being a one and done as a sign to improve and not as having been a failure.

Fletcher is gonna be a special cat. If he sticks to it. No transfer. I love his game

It definitely seems like us or Baylor. On one hand, Baylor is the home option on the other he already turned them down out of HS. His comments on wanting to win a title and be on the biggest stage to prep him for the NBA plus Brooks Sr.'s tweet make it sure feel like UK and that he is up to the challenge. I would say 70-30 us over Baylor. Baylor would be a solid choice, but so far most signs point to UK.

I'm saying UK. But I really have no idea where he will pick. I know Cal has really prioritized Williams.

The kid delayed his decision. That would mean he’s waiting on a scholarship to open, or he’s waiting to see how potential rosters develop. Our roster is set. If he were coming to UK, I see no reason why you would hold off.

He did? When did he delay it?

I think Baylor, I have no clue what these young me are going to do. But we are loaded and I think more playing time is available elsewhere.

So because someone said "there is a chance he may not decide" it equates to he has in fact changed it? Seems like a stretch, but to each their own I suppose.....

So why hold off on Sunday? What else are we waiting for? UK’s roster is set, and now it’s possible that he doesn’t even announce today. I’m just reading the tea leaves.

It was never stated he was in fact announcing on Sunday. Not to mention, Sunday was Mother's day. Would you really want to take your moms day away and make it about yourself? Once he decides, he is going to be hounded by media to talk about his choice, his plans and expectations and all that crap. Do you really think Mother's day is the best time for that?

He mentor always said he would do it Sunday or Monday. It's Monday, so we shall see what the day holds.

If Williams camp doesn't announce today, or makes a statement that it is being pushed back, then I would start to believe he looks elsewhere. However, I am not going to put my beliefs into 1 reporter who says it could or could not happen.

I wouldn’t really categorize Corey Evans as just 1 reporter. He and Evan Daniels are probably the two most connected dudes in college basketball. I pay attention to what they say. As for anything else, maybe you’ll be correct and his time table will stay on schedule. I’m just telling people what was reported yesterday. If you don’t like it, that’s fine.

Well, unless you count him as more than 1, he is in fact just 1 reporter. And seems to be the only 1 making this alleged report.

But, what you are saying was reported yesterday, wasn't really reported at all. Evans never reported anything was changed. He said an announcement wouldn't come yesterday, and evidently that things could or could not change for Monday. That last part sounds like someone covering their bases to me.
