I went to grad school in Houston. They are in a bad conference, but at least they are desperately trying to improve their situation (the complete antithesis of Rutgers) and their administration has spent two decades throwing all of their support behind the school's football program.

I wanted to go to Penn State but my parents wouldn't agree to pay for it if I went there, so I cheaped-out and went to Rutgers, and cheap Rutgers then, cheap Rutgers now. I'll just start supporting PSU like I wanted all along. This Rutgers degree does nothing for me at this point in my life anyway.

no, I don’t think you took my comment correctly. From Rutgers I declined to continue with Rutgers for grad school because it was such a **** show. So I went to private school for grad school which launched a career that provides me the exact lifestyle I always dreamed of. And now that I’m in my 40s and have established myselfAs a solid member of my professional community, my Rutgers degree is no longer relevant. And since I only went there because my parents put me under financial duress to go there because it was cheap, I don’t have much emotional attachment to it to begin with.
