Poll: How Much do you watch the NBA

If you like crybabies and watered down basketball go ahead and watch the NBA with all of their drug suspensions and fines handed out left and right. I give the reasons why I don't watch, you don't have to like it. I'm not condemning those that do.

Well, that one's even more removed from reality than the last.

You are more than welcome to hate the NBA. I don't see why you feel the need to create some alternative reality to justify that.

Slowest paced team in the NBA averaged 97.1 possessions.

Savannah St. was by far the fastest paced team in the college games this year, prorate their pace to a 48-minute game, they would have averaged 98.76 possessions per game. That would merely rank 20th in the NBA.

Second fastest paced team would have been Citadel at 92.64 per 48 minutes. That's 4.5 possessions fewer per 48-minute game than the slowest NBA team.

The #1 ranked team heading into the tournament, UVA, would have averaged 71.28 possessions in a 48-minute game. They would have to play 66 minutes to get up to over 97.1 possessions.

I appreciate the information. I was wrong. But it just looked that way to me. Maybe I just caught the wrong game to watch part of.

Around a 100 games a year. NBA is by far the best Pro sport.

Never. But I do hope pro ball comes to Louisville. I don’t go to the ballet or Zoo either but am glad Louisville has them. Adds to the culture ,prestige and economy Of a community.


My son in Nashville says their three pro teams really help bring the community together and gives him a great way to entertain clients.


A business associate of mine from Oklahoma City told me last week Louisville will be fools if they don’t try everything they can to lure a pro basketball team . Their arena holds about 18000and has been a sell out for the last ten years. His company spends twenty thousand a year on season tickets and he said Thunder games are THE way to entertain customers and get a leg up on your competition.

If Nashville can support three major league pro teams, Indy two and Cincinnati two surely we can support one ina sport people here already love . I’m sure our teams would have a number of former UK and UL players and I really see it as a lack of vision if our leaders do not jump all over this latest effort .

My guess is it is our last opportunity to stem Louisville’s and Kentucky’s decline from the days in the fifties when Atlanta, Nadville and Indy were all about the same size.

Sports are only fun when I care who wins, and in the NBA, I just don't care that much.

I actually watched the last two quarters of the Wizards game last night. Wanted see Wall advance, but also glad to see Casey is. Hell, I didn't even know Casey coached the Raptors until I saw him on the sidelines.

I plan to watch the last half of some Pelican games.
