MD Uconn will be a really solid game. Santa Barbara over Creighton would be my lock of an upset. Utah State would be a pick for me too but not liking them vs Tech

Big least overseeded again, surprised if they win more than 1 opening games. UCSB is quite good and experienced team.

I am happy for GTown and Ewing getting in. all other BE teams can’t stand.

and the fake bravado of shoe, johnnies, Xavier for declining NIT. Lol. they could have joined their fellow mid majors in that tourney.

FYI
Back in December, in Columbus, Cleveland St. lost to Ohio St. 67-61 and actually outscored tOSU in the second half by 1. Could Houston have more trouble than people think?

In addition to my RU and MSU upset wins, I would also pick VT over FL and my big upset would be Arkansas over Colgate, who is much higher in the NET. All kidding aside, Colgate could give Arkansas fits - I don't think they beat them, but they're my closest call for any 14/15/16 seed upsets.

Is Colgate favored over Arkansas? I can’t imagine a 14 seed being favored over a 3 seed. Colgate hasn’t played anyone outside their own conference IIRC.

He was not serious about that. Ark should win fairly comfortably IMHO. Not to worry.

I worry about every game! Colgate is 14-1 and hotter than a firecracker from 3 point range. We all know ANYTHING is possible to happen in the NCAA tournament!

So far I took the points (and picked to win in a bracket) on UCSB, Winthrop, Georgetown, and Colgate.
For those who dabble in the gambling arts, I also like giving the points with SDSU and Purdue, and I'm thinking about giving those huge numbers with Ohio State and Illinois.

#5 is Colorado... not Buffalo (vs. Georgetown)

Buffalo is in the NITs vs. Colorado STATE.

The PG from Ohio, Jason Preston, is the type of player that leads a mid-major team to a couple of wins in the Tourney (and the backstory on Preston makes you really want to root for him). A weakened Virginia team adds to the probability of an "upset".

with Virginia not being able to practice until Friday morning, I like Ohio here..remember this team gave Illinois fits early this year.

My alma mater, MOREHEAD STATE goes down to the wire with WVU...and pulls off the win. They can SHOOT, they can DEFEND
