Mods - please delete other thread - accidentally hit create before I put in the actual poll could not see that I could make it a poll in edit.

Well, Pitt is the pits. :(

Our defense looked better with the eyeball test but going back and looking at Pitt's scoring against other teams it was not stellar in comparison based on the ability of the club we played. However it was better.

Lots of guys got quality minutes.:D

Our bench shot 62.5% from 3 and 67% overall and had 0 turnovers!

Who knew the key to playing better defense was to play a team with no offense? And some of you say K is washed up. Pft, that's a genius move if you ask me.

While I won't go that sarcastic. Yeah, several teams have held Pitt under 60. They are not worthy of drinking Duke's bathwater. I am not ready to sing the praises of our defense yet, but still felt there was some positive movement.

Everyone wants to say well Pitt sucks and that's true but this team doesn't have to be a lockdown defensive team to win and I liked the effort on defense last night. If Duke can play defense with that kind of effort and keep better teams to 75 points they will be tough to beat.

I loved the bench, but their play was possible b/c the game was under control already. Bags again for me.

I don't expect for our Bench (especially since they were really 8-12 in rotation as Javin and Marques were out) to go 10 deep and the second five to average 14 minutes per game. That is because we played a terrible team. But I do expect us to give more than spot minutes to a few guys especially when our ringers are not playing well.

we just need to be average on defense and we win every game. we're so great on offense that if we can stay around the top 60 in defense then we shouldn't lose much

It seems like I’ve been throwing game balls to Marvin. Marvin sorry my man, but I gotta go with the bench. Was really happy to see JROB get some meaningful minutes and contribute!

Very valid point Datt! Still really happy for those guys and their moment in the sun last nite so to speak. Hope they can continue to make contributions in really key games down the line...I went with the bench in my vote...onto Wake at Cameron!
