Also, the "2 titles vs 1" argument is really misleading. We're taking about 1 shot. If Chalmers' shot is off by an inch, this isn't even a discussion.

If no NBA lockout, Cal has none. Just imagine how lucky that was. And I don’t say it loudly because I’d rather most people forget it happened. Also, he needed two crazy things to go down. Terrence Jones committed to Washington and pulled back. I’ve never seen that the way that happened. Then the NBA lockout. Cal might be the luckiest of them all.

I’d probably take Donovan because of the times and the fact that Cal is definitely in a down swing at this point. Donovan is a better evaluator of the lower ranks and he retains players. You have to retain players now and Cal isn’t getting the OAD’s that win titles. For UK, Donovan would be a hella move of it happened.

Not going to happen so hopefully Cal can find some magic and grab the legacy he’s capable of but I don’t think it’s his top priority. It’s gonna be tough.
