"The fight to protect Dreamers is not only a moral imperative, it is also a critical component of the Democratic Party’s future electoral success,”

I can't wait for the Dems to shut down government over criminals.

The Dreamers aren't the criminals, their parents are the ones who broke the law. But that's some muddled thinking, even for an ultra-liberal. Dreamers, not being citizens, can't vote, nor can their parents, so how does electoral success depend on protecting them? Pelosi and Schumer need to get their people in line, because the Democrats will rightfully get the heat for a government shutdown if it happens over DACA. They need to get behind this bill and uncouple the issue from funding the government.

I wish the parties would stop the meaningless fighting and come to an agreement over these people. They're here. Let's deal with them and make it work.

Way too shallow of a take on the issue, imo

Proper setting though. They aren't entitled to anything. Whatever/whoever we decide, deal with it. That they are costing the federal and state governments over $100 billion a year with little return, we have to make changes. And not in the Democrats' favor.

Simple solution to it all. If you're not legal, you can't obtain benefits of any sort.

They are non-citizens in our country without green cards, exemptions, nor H1B's. They are all criminals, of their own doing, or not.
Do you read? anything? at all? They are here legally, they are not criminals.

They number upwards of 250,000.
They've lived legally in the United States for nearly two decades.
And now, they have less than two years to leave, find another legal way to stay or face deportation.

The devastation spurred a decision that March by then-US Attorney General John Ashcroft: Immigrants from El Salvador who'd been in the United States since February 2001 could apply for temporary protected status, or TPS, which would protect them from deportation and allow them to get work permits. It was an 18-month designation.
Now, it's been nearly 17 years. Time after time, officials from different administrations determined that conditions in El Salvador hadn't improved enough for migrants with TPS to return. On Monday, the Trump administration said it decided to end protections effective September 9, 2019.

Decision could spell deportation for these 250,000 immigrants

I'm more tolerant than she is. So if that did happen in her life down there, he sucked at it.

I know some dreamers in the military I'd love to have you call criminal, it's racism, plain and simple, when you disparage an entire group with the worst attributes of any one person you can find in that group. But I'm glad Trump won so his minions can show their true colors, they turned on McCain and have yet to condemn the very nice folks in the KKK and Nazis. And hold em hostage for what? That wall Mexico said **** you we ain't paying for? lmfao, ya'll got about a year left to even have a chance to get your wall funded.

Is the amount of action (both covert and overt) the US has had in the support and distraction of governments and business growth in central and South America over the last 60-70 years relevant at all?

Are you implying we are responsible for two continents, minus Canada, now?

I thought you didn't believe in the 'deep state'.
