As we discuss Trump targeting BigLaw by withdrawing security clearances, I think this is an opportune time to make a point I repeat often.
BigLaw fell all over itself rushing to provide top-notch pro bono litigators to literal jihadi terrorists held at Gitmo. Men from foreign countries who sought to commit heinous mass murder on American citizens received the best criminal defense the American bar had to offer, for free.
However, not one BigLaw firm raised a finger to help the patriotic Americans denied due process because they walked between some velvet-roped stanchions in the Capitol on 1/6/2021.
Think hard about that, please.
