I thought they did as well as they could given the situation I’m sure there were a lot of discussions in NY with their lawyers about the what happens if the game is postponed/ canceled since they are opening themself up to class action lawsuits depending how the situation is handled going forward.

Maybe it seemed like an eternity since they kept breaking away to the three studio people who were scraping for things to say.

Football deaths on the field are statistically rare but not quite unheard of. On the high school level, four million kids play the game but about 10 or so will die every year from concussions, dehydration, hyperthermia and, yes, cardiac arrest.

Does the death of a football player, at any level, make you feel more bereft than the death of a fan? If so, it is understandable. The death of cop will be felt most keenly by his family and his brothers in blue.

I am fascinated by level of attention this story is getting. Perhaps because it played out on national television in front of millions? Not downplaying this at all. Just find our society interesting in how it responds to different stories. Continued prayers to him and anyone suffering for that matter.

Some stories generate outrage, an emotion that is easy to fake. But the news, especially the cameras, amplify an emotion like grief, which can range from silent and respectful to dramatic and beyond.

Edgy please flush this thread.
It’s clear that a few people don’t understand
what’s really important.

A few people? Are you even reading or comprehending? Tell me where I didn’t think this wasn’t important.

I’m blabbing the most, so yeah LOL. My bad. I’m out.
Nope. I just want people to understand their are situations like this that are larger than football.
Let’s take a moment to understand this kids life is in gods hands and we as humans should be praying for him and not thinking when or if they reschedule the game. I pray no one ever has to live through what his parents are going through right now.

Corey: You shouldn't be that harsh on people here. I am 100% sure everyone writing in this thread knows exactly what's important here. Right now, Damar Hamlin is in good hands and getting the best of care.

We should be praying for Damar Hamlin first and foremost. But we should also be praying for his family and those who are giving him the care he needs and praying that all the right decisions where his care are concerned are made.

There are now a lot of moving parts here and a lot of things to consider as the league moves forward. That is where the conversation has shifted to today. No one is forgetting Damar Hamlin and I am sure there will be a moment of silence before every NFL game this weekend in his honor.

What other MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR industry makes such drastic changes of schedules that impacts GLOBAL betting, many of which wagers were predicated on down-times for high achieving teams to get healthy because they earned a bye?

This undoubtively is sad, but ...

The Stock Exchange is the world's largest betting system. When it is open, it's open and when it's not...it's not. But nothing is more cut throat.
