Tougher league this year in my opinion at least from a parity standpoint. Fewer easy games for Haith to pad his W's column in conference play. Our nonconference is pretty tough among the best teams we play. I'll guarantee an L to Nevada in Vegas. Wins over K State and Ok State at home are possible though.

This will be the first Vegas tourney I’ve missed. One reason is the Thanksgiving weekend date. If it was the weekend before I would still consider it. Reason 2 is even more compelling, UNR will be really good this year and I don’t feel good about a win and UNR fans are the most horrible sports I’ve ever seen.

I’m cautiously optimistic about basketball. From what I’ve seen and heard from folks who are around practice is that this is a really good group... does that mean we’ll surprise some people? Maybe, but I’ll believe it when I see it. I’ve gone way too many years getting my hopes up before the season only to see us fall flat on our faces out of the gate.

Yup, last year had better be the last one with wtf losses in the first month. If we get taken down by a middle Tennessee or South Dakota St. so be it. But Lamar? F'n Lamar?

Nobody and I mean nobody cares about Lamar.
