I love the progress we're seeing this year, even if it's not translating to wins. PLEASE just beat Penn State. That's all I ask.

This would make the season worth it to beat them!
Penn State is a team we should beat, but they’re not just going to lay down for us. We’ve got to take it to them.
Freiermuth was about 1/3 of Clifford's receptions in passing yards. He was their second leading receiver/TE.

You guys could definitely beat PSU especially after giving Michigan all they could handle. But I have a feeling they're going to go off on someone bigtime in the very near future. Franklin's recruited very well and has a roster filled with many 4 stars. They're 2nd in the B1G - according to 247 Sports - for 2020 roster talent. And yet they're 0-5 - the biggest surprise in CF. I've watched a few of their games and there is no energy from the players or coaching staff. Something is going on behind the scenes that's not being made public

the psu game is my birthday. there is nothing, and I mean nothing, I want more for my birthday than a win over that team.
Keep in mind that PSU was considered a team that could be in the NC picture at the pre-season. They will not lose every game on the schedule! We blew a chance to beat them when they got hit with the Sandusky restrictions.
There is also the "unofficial" rivalry feeling between the two programs which should get their juices running.
As far as Franklin goes, this season is a mess and there has to be something really negative going on that is not out there. If the other charge that we are hearing about pans out, PSU may well be able to get out from under financially by using the contract clause for things other than athletic reasons.
But, their rabid fans bailed them out after Sandusky with tons of money. So, it may happen again.

Haunting memories of that first game. Wonder about the trajectory of RU football had we won. Would we have gone to a New Years Day bowl that year instead of Quick Lane .. ala Outback, Gator Bowl, etc. Would Flood have kept Saquan Barkley? I will never forget seeing our two guys collide and watching the PSU guy run down the field on that last drive. Nightmares. Time to finish the deed
