If he is the guy. Just read his resume and I see he worked for Dabo and Saban, head coach for 2 years... only 3 years older than Judge. If he’s not all in on us but waiting for a better gig then why waste a year or 2 on him? I guess I don’t have that homerun feeling like some on this board. Help me out, I want to be behind our guy like I was Mullen and Moorhead. Just seems forced at this point. Thanks

He checks a few boxes. He's got the rep for being hard nosed. Very involved with his players which means it's more difficult for them to run astray. His offense is a power run spread which is closer to what we saw with Mullen. He understands sec football because of his experience at Alabama.

If that doesn't do it for you, just pay attention to his team tonight. It is a pretty well oiled machine. We pulled away in our game due to some bone head plays on their part. Not due to domination with better athletes.

I do think he will succeed. But I also think his eyes are on the South Carolina job.

Kind of what I expect from Templeton 2.0. Didn’t think he would fire Moorhead though. Just hope it doesn’t take another risky hire and go cheap: maybe he will prove me wrong

In about the most tone deaf move possible, Napier asked his football players to contribute monetarily to the ULL booster club which pays a part of his salary.

A millionaire football coach did that to his players, many of whom are from struggling families.

Also, I know a lot of people like to talk about his time with Dabo and Saban. Dabo fired him.

So yeah, he’s got a lot of positives, but he also has questionable judgment and is far from a sure thing.

I’ll be very happy with judge if he brings the type of staff that people are saying.

If ULL were to get thrashed tonight, I wonder if the shine would dull somewhat. Not that he’s coming anyway.

I get that he has had a great two years at Louisiana but he lost to Moorhead twice didnt he? I'm not exactly on fire to get the guy myself.

Not really. 10-3 this year, but 7-7 last year (7-5 in regular season, then lost the conference championship and the bowl game).
