The days of Kentucky being elite or the best in the country are dead. It already happened. We aren't talking about one year either. The best finish we have had in the last decade is a sweet 16. Kentucky basketball as it used to be is done. The sooner people can start being happy with sweet 16 finishes and being in the top 5 of the SEC and holding those as reasonable expectations the better it will be. Expecting or wanting championships or even final fours is delusional and not rational based on a decade of past performance.

Kentucky is a historic program but it's no longer great or elite.
